As such the case with the Uptown Plaza in Tai Po. Yes, the air conditioned refuge was nice on a hot summer day, but it is kind of just a crappy mall, with mediocre stores. There is a McDonald's and a few restaurants, but nothing really noteworthy in the realm of food. There is a Hong Kong style desserts spot, where we had some mango ice cream creation, but not worthy enough to elevate of my rating on this mall. If you exit the MTR, there is an escalator that will shoot you directly into the mall, so it is super easy to find.
