I "discovered" this mall walking between the Shatin and Ma On Shan lines. Since it's in a middle-lower class neighborhood, there aren't too many fancy shops here. It's right next to a "market" which is noisy and smelly, making this place almost like a haven in the boisterous heat of a summer day. Mark your route with bread crumbs though - it's not a little like a maze depending on which entrance you use, and signage is not always straightforward or available. Once you're in, there are lots of choices for eateries at rock-bottom prices, catering to the student clientele from a school nearby at the lunch hour. One place had a special: full 'steak' dinner with a soup and beverage for less than $6 US. Since it didn't look the cleanest, I didn't quite screw up enough courage to give it a go :-) read more
