Really want to love this place. Read that they created some looks for "Mood For Love" with Maggie Cheung so thought they could dish that out. They do some pageantry cheongsams too to their credit.
Why I would get fitted +'s:
+ Service is great. They are courteous and patient as I flipped through books of swatches to select my fabric. Then there is the consideration of single vs double piping, length of dress, sleeves or sleeveless, and more depending on the look you want to achieve.
+ Fabrics are plentiful and they will use your own selected fabrics if you have it. Make sure you have enough.
Why I would buy one off the rack -'s:
- After my first fitting, I had to return within a week. I could not do a final fitting so the item had to be shipped. The sleeves ended up being too tight.
- It costs over USD 700 to get one made.
- You need more than a week go see everything from beginning to end.
- It costs USD 30 to get the item shipped to you if you cannot finish the fitting before you leave. After spending USD 700 I thought paying for shipping too was tacky.
Overall I would consider Linva if I had time to see the product to the end. Since I could not lengthen my trip, I had to pay for the outcome. read more
