Lee Tung Avenue is a beautiful pedestrian street in Wan Chai, Hong Kong, lined with charming cafés,…read morerestaurants, and boutique shops. It was once famous as "Wedding Card Street" because of its many printing and wedding invitation shops, but it has since been transformed into a modern lifestyle and leisure destination while still preserving its unique history. Visiting Lee Tung Avenue was especially meaningful to me because my mom lived here when she was a child. Walking along the street made me imagine what the neighborhood was like years ago, and it gave me a warm feeling. It was a wonderful place to explore and relax.

Like everyone said, this street is where the East meets West; it is definitely more luxurious, with many high end shops and restaurants, after a controversial redevelopment by the government since 2003. I was hoping to see the signature rows of red lanterns on this street, but they took it down for the winter holiday, and it's all Christmas decor right now! This street is usually filled with excitement; many come here to take selfies with the decor, and to check out the many restaurants and shops. There is Japanese ramen, Chinese noodles, French cuisine, egg tarts, coffee shops, and many more! Connecting to the MTR station right underneath Lee Tung Avenue, you will also find an underground pathway with a grocery store, and plenty of local shops for beauty, jewellery and baked goods! Psst, a NEW popcorn shop just grand opened, and it makes the pathway smells extra, extra sweet, and you just want to stop by to buy some lol ^^

It turned out to be an excellent choice! They are having The Exotic Pets World Exhibition running from July 25 to August 18 at the 3/F Atrium. Operating daily from 12:00 to 19:00, it was an incredibly cool experience! The main exhibition is free, featuring unique themed areas with rare species like giant tortoises, lizards, and aquascaped terrariums. It was incredibly fun and lively because the mall is very pet-friendly, so many people actually brought their own dogs along to check out the mall and enjoy the event! The Mall Layout & Vibe: The mall itself is nice, modern, and very clean. Because it was the weekend, it did get a bit crowded, but that is to be expected for a popular new landmark in the heart of Wan Chai. It has a massive variety of shops, including massive flagship stores like Japan's Nitori, Toys "R" Us, and the massive kid-focused Kiztopia play area. Overall, it is a fantastic one-stop place to shop, dine, and hang out. Between the retail options, eateries, and cool family-friendly programming, it is a great addition to the neighborhood. Perfect for families and pet owners alike!

I lost count of how many Louis Vuitton stores I walked past as I ventured around the city. I suppose that makes sense in a way -- real estate in Hong Kong is pricey. Really, I believe anyone would enjoy just wandering around and seeing the beautiful things in here. I did -- and I didn't even buy anything. The food court on the bottom level is also fairly good. It has HeyTea, a gourmet bakery, and many quick service restaurants.

While SOGO is a massive, multi-floor Japanese-style department store packed with cosmetics and a great basement fresh food market, Times Square feels more like a traditional vertical shopping mall. It has a great mix of independent fashion boutiques, lifestyle shops, and high-end luxury brands. Personally, I like Times Square much more because it is way more spacious and not nearly as crowded as Sogo. They still have "The Minions & Monsters: Bello! Hollywood Exhibition". It is open daily from 10:00 to 22:00 until August 31, 2026. As a huge Minions fan, I was so glad we visited! Admission is completely free, and I managed to take so many great photos.

The mall also set up a special donation booth for donating to the devastating fire that broke out in Tai Po in November 2025. In return, you will get a cute Christmas decor (blind box). The staff at the booth was very patient and helpful. The Great Food Hall in the basement is also a must-visit supermarket for foreign snacks and delicious eats!

However, this shopping centre gets intensely packed. We visited on a Monday, and it was still way too crowded inside. The combination of the heavy crowds and the unique spiral layout actually made me feel a bit dizzy while navigating the floors. On the plus side, there is a great variety of shopping options, from upscale retailers to trendy boutiques, along with a movie theater and plenty of standalone restaurants. That being said, the actual food court area felt surprisingly small for a mall of this scale. We ultimately didn't spend much time here because it was a bit overwhelming, and we preferred to walk around the vibrant open-air spots nearby in Mong Kok. It is worth a quick look for the design, but be prepared for major foot traffic.
