He was going to be stuck whatever haircut for the rest of the trip. It turned out to be a decent cut, the guy knew what he was doing and got it done in no time. Fast hairstylists know what they're doing. we gave 10% tip but it's voluntary and the hairstylist didn't expected it. Based on research, good practice is 10% if they did a good job.

Now as you can see I'm not the fussy type- for that I would have gone to the Landmark and found somewhere with a four figure price tag. QB is known to be quick, clean and most of all- cheap. Let me get the downsides dealt with first- its cheap because you don't get much in way of service (no shampoo- you just go in and they will cut it as is) and there isn't so much an old magazine lying about. Instead, you are made to wait and queue like sheep being sheared; a traffic light is outside to show how long the wait is. Why is it so good then? That's because with most of my experience the people at QB, though the advertisement likes to tell you that they are all well trained; the fact is that the quality varies with the person as much as the weather on any certain day. Here though, everyone that I have been in touch with has done a great job and maybe they are just used to cutting hair for men who didn't care too much. However, given the queues that form outside the shop I am quite confident that these guys know their....skills. I would once again warn anybody coming here: this is not your usual barber shop with a shampoo, wrinkly magazines and dry banter. This shop does exactly what is saids which is you get a 10 minute haircut for 60HKD and that's that. But if you really think about it though, for most people that is, unless you really like the smell of perming solutions then its a great solution to sorting something out quickly and on the cheap!

They first shampooed his hair and then I explained to the hairdryer what he wants and they tried their best and then blow dry his haircut and we were on our way. Marcus, who we had the original consultation with, 'forgot' to communicate to Ryan the stylist what needed to be done, resulting in my daughter's hair first being highlighted instead of full hair colour. Then when they realized the mistake, her hair was coloured but this time with the wrong colour. When they again realized their mistake, my daughter's hair was bleached for a third time and turned orange. In the 9 hours that my daughter sat there, Macus (co-owner) did not walk over even once to see what the problem was, despite assuring me that he will oversee the process. The absolute lack of attention, internal communication or respect for my daughter's hair and time shown through the entire process was shocking, as was the final result. After turning her hair orange, the salon refused to take any responsibility for the botched hair job, asking instead why my 19 year old did not stop Ryan from making the mistakes! I am asking for a refund and moving to consumer court.

Toni & guy is a trusted brand that not only has salons around the world, but also a line of hair products that many people use and love. Every time I come I usually do toning (clears out the orange brassy-ness for my blonde colors), hair treatment (to nourish dry hair), and cut/trim. For this specific location, I know Cyrus does the coloring most of the time, and as for stylist I am flexible--I've had a couple different ones but none have ever disappointed me. :)
