However, there are a number of lines that you can access, and of course, as is typical with a lot of these stations, you also find yourself in the middle of a shopping centre, especially after you leave the ticket barriers. The problem is that, well, the shops, or should I say kiosks, down here are all geared towards takeaway (or rather grab and go) so their isn't really any place to sit down.

I hear you! But worry not, N11 might as well be the solution to your anxiety. For my early morning flight (at 7.40 am) I had to be at the airport a couple of hours earlier, so Airport Express wasn't an option. Cab wasn't an option either, as I was travelling on my own so it'd end up being really expensive. So...bus? I looked up transport options at the Airport's website and then went onto Citybus' to check routes and timetables. As I had never taken any other kind of transportation tan train or cab, I had no idea about the existence of this service. Their website is a little confusing to use in the beginning, but as soon as you get around to finding your bus service they've come up with a few features that it's going to make your travel a lot easier. For example, you can get a pdf version to print for your journey with starting and ending points, fare, timetables, addresses for the bus stops and so on. I did that and took it with me, so on the early morning I knew exactly where the stop was and what time I had to be there. Surely, it's a city night bus, and it goes to the airport, so expect it to be packed with suitcases and to be a little busy. It goes through every stop and takes around 45 minutes to get there. And it's cheap; I paid 31HKD Wan Chai - Airport, not bad. So if you're on an early flight and are considering taking the bus, go ahead: a little bit of a longer trip than in a cab, but reliable and a lot cheaper.
