What a lovely little cafe! I have a weakness for cafes with books in them. I had an Italian…read moresandwich, which was quite good, and they accommodated my request to warm up the sandwich. They spoke excellent English, and accommodated my odd or clueless questions about their food and drinks. They have a bunch coffee drinks, but I had a hot chocolate, which was good. It came with a lot of whipped cream on top, which was a bit confronting, but tasty, at least. Bathrooms: Only one, but clean and functional.

I just came for the chocolates, and found so many. I ended up coming back here to buy more for…read morepresents a second trip. Bought over 50 individual chocolate bars and the process was easy enough. The store is busy so be prepared to wait in line for a few minutes. (Plastic bags charge is extra, unless you want to bring a cloth bag from home.) It's not very organized store but the prices compensate for the disorganization. Compared to other grocery stores near the old town, this was cheaper in prices by almost 30 percent. I love European chocolates so I love getting them every country I go to. Plus giving them to loved ones is always a nice gift. Side Note - Lidl stores are actual a German brand and they have stores in so many European countries. They have a few stores in the U.S as well. But buying chocolates from the specific country that I'm visiting, I try to remember to look at the back of the wrapping to see what country it's made in to get local chocolates. ~

In recent years we have seen a lot of Lidls and Aldis opening up in the USA so when we saw a Lidl…read morestore in Warsaw we had to go pay a visit. Lidl and Aldi are sister stores run by the same company and in this case they had a Lidl and Aldi on back to back tram stops. This particular Lidl was extremely busy but we went in to find Polish chocolates made in Poland and we got them immediately in the first aisle. Lidl operates all the stores the same way and they make sure the store is stocked up with things people need. Besides chocolates which is what we were looking for locals were buying things for their everyday needs. The customer service is excellent and employees are available and willing to help which is the reason why people go to Lidl. 4 star store with excellent deals pay a visit if in the area.

Are you looking for Spanish books? Literature, textbooks for students, easy-to-read booklets for…read morechildren etc? Then this is the place for you. Elite is a book store close to plac Zawiszy (two tram stops from the Central Station) that specializes entirely in Spanish books. Here you'll find a broad range of literature written by Spanish authors, Spanish translations of non-Spanish books, short stories written in an easy-to-understand Spanish for kids, tweens and teens as well as textbooks for children learning Spanish. The book store is made up of two rooms filled with books. The owner (I think) sits in the backroom and is extremely helpful - as is the guy who stands behind the counter is the first room. I would never have found this bookstore if it hadn't been for my boss who speaks the language fluently and wanted to buy a couple of age-appropriate easy-to-understand books in Spanish for her sons. I was highly impressed by the fact that everyone was so helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, I don't speak Spanish so I won't become a returning customer but if you do and want to maintain your lingo skills by reading Spanish books - this is definitely the place for you!

If you are rock fan looking for a place to buy vinyl disks or music CDs in Warsaw this is the first…read moreplace to come to. Since I do not own a CD player nor listen music on CDs I won't talk about them, but, from what I saw there at least 1000 different CDs and I guarantee that you can find all the more popular albums (especially the rock related ones) in this store. On the catalogue: Now, on vinyls. There are a couple of 2 meter shelves full whit vinyls who are turned on the thin side, therefore you cannot even count them. There is also table in the center of the room, again filled with vinyls. Trully a big collection of rock albums, however I also saw a shelf dedicated to electrical music if I remember corectly. On the value: It's preety cheap considering other locations nearby. I think it's the cheapest place if I take a look only on the White Album from the Beatles. The only downside might be that the value is weirdly placed (inside the cardboard\paper material where the vinyl sits). On some records there are even two prices written on them which can be confusing. Also, you can pay both by cash or card. On the quality of the products Even though the vinyls weren't new, (I mean they were resealed) they were intact. There wasn't any micro-malformation on them. They played perfectly. You can even test them inside the store. However, judging on the unimportant part of the album, the cover, they look like they are at least 10 to 15 years old. On the staff I saved the best for last. The staff. When I arrived there, a man was placing or rearranging some vinyls on shelves, and right when I walked in he offered his help. I declined at first but realised I needed it since it was preety hard to find any album by yourself. When I asked him what I was looking for (some of the Beatles studio albums) he came to the shelf, grabbed and half-pulled the vinyls and told me that all of the Beatles's albums are in that section. Whilst browsing the disks I saw one (Magical Mystical Tour) whose price was around 150€. When I asked him if the price was in euro or in zlots, he told me that it was in euro because the record was a rare special edition made, or recorded in Malaysia (without asking why). Then preceded to calculate the price in zlots. Then I asked for some of Scorpions albums which, again, he knew the exact place of them, whom he pulled out of the shelf for me to browse. The most impressive part about it is that there wasn't any computer to help him. He just knew where everything was. I ended up buying a Scorpions record and afterwards I asked if he had some Pink Floyd albums, also mentioned that I had 11 of their studio albums and I was just curious. He showed them to me and also shared that he went to the Battersea Power Station (the building on the cover of Animals). Then we briefly shared some opinions on the 2018 remix of it and then I left because it was closing time. Therefore, like me, the man was also a Pink Floyd fan, like me, which doesn't hurt the review. Furthermore, he spoke a perfect English, not a broken one like most Polish places. Overall this was one, if not the best experience I've ever had with a staff in a store.
