Adorable restaurant in Kadıköy, my favorite suburb in Istanbul. I only give 5 for perfection, but this restaurant deserves more than a 4. It's tiny, but the staff are delightful and the food is exquisite. We had the octopus and giant prawns and several starters. Two bottles of local white wine were the perfect complement to an excellent meal for three. Total cost sans tip, 337 TRY. It's in an easy to access part of Kadıköy from the ferries, about a 10-minute walk from the pier. The vibe in the area is relaxed, and on a Friday night it was alive with people just hanging out and having fun. Book to make sure you don't have to wait for a table - staff spoke English the night we were there. One tip. If you need to get back to the European side after dinner, consider making the last ferry. The taxi drivers were dismissive about taking us back over the bridge, "too much traffic." read more
