I slept in the hostel portion of the property so cannot comment on the hotel portion.
The Good: Cheap. Friendly receptionist. Decent location, about 10 minute walk to the city center. Towel is included.
The Bad: Not-so-good kitchen facilities--no microwave nor toaster, only one small pot, 2 frying pans. Many long-termers, some of whom don't speak English. No electrical outlets for upper bunk beds. Low lighting in the common area/dining area. Common area isn't too inviting with only two bean bag chairs. Only one toilet and one WC (i.e. bathroom) with shower and toilet, so expect a wait in the morning. They do change the door codes, and you need the door code to exit (welcome to Europe). But at least there's a button you can push for assistance if you leave after check-out time.
Łódź is more a working class town, not a city tourists would visit so you're not going to get a typical hostel experience. However, if you just need a cheap place to sleep, it's a decent place to stay. read more
