While I was one of maybe 20 people at the zoo today, there was so much to see and it was nice walking around for a long time in the quiet. I saw lions, fish, wildebeast, kangaroos, panthers, Jaguars, lynx, peacocks, ostrich, wallabies, so many monkeys, wolves... It was a blast and I will definitely recommend this zoo to anyone visiting.
The best part is that it is vey easy to get to the zoo via public transit. Bus 11 goes to the zoo and basilica. I visited both and it is a nice walk from one to the other. Well worth the trip even if the weather isn't perfect. I paid 80 Kc for 1 adult in October.
Tip: bring your own food in the off season as none of the vendors are open. I like how sleepy this town is in the autumn!
