This is a literal mom & pop coffeeshop. I pass through the neighborhood twice a week en route to tutoring. I love seeing the lil ol woman and man inside... but I rarely see patrons. So I dropped in to give them some love & business.
I was delighted to learn the woman bakes the goodies under so many glass domes and on lovely pedestals / cake stands. My recommendations into the herbal cheese cake (think French style and not U.S. dessert). There are other treats like cookies / scones similarities but I like unfamiliar things. In addition I order a cappucino.
It's really like sitting in someone's home, truly quaint except for the music videos on the flat panel TV. It was too cute hearing the barista complain to her husband about the slow speed / performance of the espresso machine.
Shortly after I arrived the couple's son appeared... then other patrons who enjoyed tea on the terrace. Even a delivery guy materialized. Maybe I should visit more often to keep this shop in business. read more
