Secret classic of Marseille, a place for all, to drink to remember or to forget. Nothing really out…read moreof the ordinary except that here you feel like you belong in the world, a French Cheers but without the fanfare and the tin signs. Here you sit in a place that has been written about in all three of Izzo's Marseille trilogy books (http://www.jeanclaude-izzo.com/balade/plaine.html). A painting of the Last Supper but with French philosophers and directors as the players sets the stage, and a lively bar-team makes sure you don't fall too deep into your own belly button. A photo of Focault and others over the promontory keeps watch over the ideologic freedom of the space that sometimes hosts live jam sessions. This is your hideaway from the loudness and yang energy nighttime on La Plaine.
