One glance at top coffee spots in the area and we were sold on Malvia! We called an Uber to take us over. Once dropped off on Avenida Revolución we read in other reviews that the shop can be a challenge to find - but we are a persistent bunch and figured it out. Here are simple directions to locate it: find the gastropub La Justina on Revolucion and walk down the stairs to the left of it. Then proceed forward until you see the unmistakably unique and cute decor of Malvia on the left. There are several tables outside then the coffee bar space at the store front. All the drinks looked delightful and it was a tough decision to select just one drink. A friend opted for an iced drink with coconut and espresso, I chose the "Dorado" which featured turmeric. It was sumptuous and refreshing - with a gold appearance from the turmeric. The espresso was tasty and there was just the right amount of sweetness. Super refreshing and highly recommended. Service was kind and prices are super reasonable. The sitting area was unique too - there's other neat stores in the area and the temperature was nice since we were underground. Overall, Malvia was excellent and definitely worth checking out. Thanks for the memorable experience!

The first few times I had come to grab a coffee, Malvia was either closed or I was just unable to find them. If you are using Google Maps my best advice is to get to the corner of Madero and Third and enter one of several doors which will lead you into a large market style space. Malvia is about a shoe-boxed sized cafe in Zona Centro. There are several tables in the front with seating for probably around twenty. On the afternoon of a June day I visited and ordered an iced latte. It was 45 pesos and probably around twenty ounces. It was very delicious and I was happy to sip on it while I walked to Gastro Telefonica. Malvia definitely fits into to the Tijuana craft coffee scene and I highly recommend you stop by to try out a caffeinated drink.

The menu options were simple, i don't know if making a concoction of flavors was possible but it didn't show. I like bitterness in my coffee and this had just a hint of it. We tried the mazapán and Mexican mocha, they were both good. Again, i prefer the stronger coffee flavor so for me it was subtle but still good. The flavor of mazapán was there but again, subtle. They were not overly sweet which I liked. We also tried a s'mores puerquito cookie which was also not overly sweet and good flavor. I will be back and ask if I could have my coffee made stronger, hopefully this helps! Our total for 2 coffees (hot and cold) and a puerquito was $14.50 Food/Coffee:**** Service:**** Ambiance:*

Of course all I found was Starbucks close by and I truly hate Starbucks for they're so acidic and I like more of the mom and Pop shop. Man did I hit the jackpot! Not only is the Coffee fantastic with some great original recipes but this bad ass coffee shop is women run out of her apartment "hence the name". Now I get to go sit in less traffic with a smile on my face and a warm cuppa Joe in my hand Of course I had to order two different recipes. I got the cinnamon dolce and the rosemary iced latte. They are both perfectly made with the perfect amount of coffee to sugar ratio. She also had milk alternatives for me, so I got both with oat milk! Not to mention her website was so professional, and easy to use. Thanks again I hope your business thrives! Can't wait to come back next time I need a good coffee close to CBX! PS I'm buying two rosemary iced lattes next time!

Even after my ice melted, my drink was still holding up strong and flavorful. The baristas were great to talk to and very quick with getting the drinks out. We were in and out in under 10 minutes. The shop itself is cute, no bathrooms but there some benches to sit while you wait. Definitely not a study spot, but a great grab and go coffee place. Parking was easy although be wary of certain spots being reserved for different businesses. The drinks were affordable and it's great to have another cute coffee shop in the south Chula Vista area.

The space itself is very minimal with not much going on inside, and it's located right across from the trolley. That said, I wasn't greeted when I walked in, which kind of set the tone. Customer service felt pretty meh, and with construction making the parking lot a bit of a hassle, it just didn't feel like the easiest stop. The liquor store owner was also standing outside checking where people were parking which felt a little bizarre being that there's not many parking spots. Glad I gave it a try, but probably wouldn't go back.
