It is very classy and goes far beyond the normal standard, for a very good price (EUR 44 per person per night; no more expensive than any of the other hotels). Their rooms are individually decorated and impeccably clean. Each window is protected by a fly-net so that you don't get pestered by annoying mosquitoes A refrigerator for guests is in the hallway, with plastic boxes assigned to each room. Wifi is free and works without any problems. Their staff is extremely friendly and helpful and knows how to make you feel comfortable and at home, yet they are completely unobtrusive. My friend is from Wales and only speaks English which they didn't seem to dare to speak, but they seemed to understand what he wanted. A very tastefully decorated community room has books, drinks and board games waiting for you. The absolute highlight is the breakfast. Each day a little surprise was waiting on the table for our delectation. The buffet was very diverse and offered unusual dishes, such as mousse d'aubergine, stuffed jalapenos, pickled mozzarella (with basil and sun-dried tomatoes), sheep and goat cheese, unusual jams, fresh veggies and fruits, and so much more. And most of it was organic! There was always classical music playing at breakfast, but again, it was very unobtrusive and only added to the beautiful atmosphere. Adjacent to the breakfast room is the gallery with really interesting objets d'art on display. An excellent Italian restaurant, Angelo's, is just a few yards away to sustain you at dinner time. Overall, this is a highly recommendable, very classy hotel for someone seeking an unusual, high-quality stay in Ostfriesland, at a very reasonable price.

Die Zimmer im Turmbau sind besser gestaltet und ausgestattet als die im Altbauteil, u.a. mit iHome und Espressomaschine (Kapselsystem, sehr schmackhaft). Beautyanwendungen stehen im Haus zur Verfügung, auch immer noch der Saunabereich im oberen Turmteil (diesmal war alles immer ausreichend geheizt). Besonders nettes Ambiente, ein leckeres Speisenangebot und sehr aufmerksamen Service bietet das Restaurant. Man merkt, dass Haus- und Restaurantleitung bemüht sind, Angebot und Leistungen ständig zu verbessern. Wir haben jedenfalls beschlossen, gern wiederzukommen.

Many windows for light and healthy air. Staff very helpful even though we don't speak German language. Also small bar on site. This island, Landoog, is only a few miles from German mainland and easily traveled by ferry. NO vehicles slowed. Only electric motors in carts for deliveries. Bicycle riding or walking. Clean air so refreshing. Oh and least I forget--at least 6 miles of clean beach on the Norse Sea.
