The service was even worse as a large party who came in 30 minutes after us finished their full course meal before we even got our dessert. At the beginning of our meal, a large horsefly flew into my wine glass and was swimming in my Riesling. Being a restaurant of seemingly high caliber and price, it would have been nice for them to replace the wine. However, the server decided to take it back to the kitchen and scoop out the fly and give it back to me. The manager was there to advise him on the whole ordeal. They thought that I could not see them do this, but my fiance saw the whole thing over the counter. When I was trying to explain to the server of the disappointment in how they treated us, a local helped translate the experience from English to German. The server eventually came clean and explained the process he went through to take the fly out and give me back the same wine but in a different glass. At that point, the manager came out and lied to the friendly local and told him that there was a miscommunication and they indeed replaced the entire for us. However, she did not know that her server came clean and explained the whole thing to everybody. This experience shows the dishonesty and terrible character of the restaurant and manager to first try to give us a fly infested wine and then to lie and try to cover it up afterwards. Please save yourself the money and more importantly the worst 3 hours of your dining life.

There was already a short line of people waiting. We didn't have reservations and luckily they had ONE table available that had not been reserved yet. This place is so popular by the locals that all the tables except for one had been reserved. The restaurant is known for their hand cheese so we tried the Spanish handy-- it was very delicious. It was served with chopped onions, black olives, a few tiny cubes of red bell pepper in an olive oil base with dry cilantro and a couple of slices of bread on the side. We got the small order and still had some left over to go. For my entree I had the rump steak with green pepper sauce. The steak was very lean and very tender. The green pepper sauce was absolutely delicious with just the right amount of spicy kick to it. I'm usually very picky about my steak and don't like any fatty parts. This didn't have any. I got a side salad along with it that balanced it perfectly. I'm definitely going to recommend it to my fellow visiting coworkers.

I just visited the restaurant for Sunday brunch and I regret going there big time…read more Most of the food is convenient food bought already premade. The offering was not enough for the amount of people who were there and after a short while most of the main meals were gone. All the sauces tasted of being made from powder from bags. The deserts tasted also very artificially and terrible. This is NOT COOKING and the prices the y charges are outrages . What I also hate is when restaurants put lots of really cheap booze on the counter of their bar. They have put about 30 bottles of cheap booze on the counter as decoration. Again an outrages price for the industrial food.

Much to my surprise I was extremely impressed with the place. Achtung - if you punch in the address in the GPS of your car it will take you to the wrong spot. Go to their website and follow the instructions as we got lost by ignoring the directions on the website. This place serves modern German cuisine and the menu was fabulous. I had the grilled watermelon with smoked tuna for entree and it was delicious and the flavours were so delicate and went together beautifully. For main course I had the mackerel filet with scampi and a saffron risotto and I could happily have licked my plate clean. It was tasty, full of flavour and delicate all at the same time. The wine list is extensive and we have a nice bottle of Sancere which went perfectly with the food. For dessert I had the dessert variation and the chocolate fondant was exquisite. The service here is good and the location is amazing next to a golf course and I could have spent a whole night there sitting outside and enjoying the wine and company. It's a bit out of the way but you won't be disappointed you made the journey. It's a beautiful location with fabulous food. It's not cheap but I have had more expensive dinners that have failed to impress like this this one :-)) everyone in our group of 5 loved their meals and we had all our plates go back with nothing left. That is always a sign of a good meal. I would happily come back here anytime and look forward to my next visit. There is a hotel attached to the restaurant and it looks amazing. Might have to stay the night the next time :-)))
