Hearty food, generous portions, good beer and traditional Bavarian decor. I can neither remember nor spell the German food we ate but it was basically pork medallions with spatzle, that German macaroni and cheese thing they do down here with fried onions, pancake soup and a local beer in a big glass. Lovely service by a charming young frouline (can you still day that these days?):-D I had a feeling I was going to be the first to reviewer this place... Which is nice.

We stayed at the hotel and had "half pension", which includes dinner. I look forward to staying and eating here whenever I return to the area.

Wonderful hotel. Beautiful campus with Nuns still in residence from the cloisters. The Nuns provide…read moreservices to the aged and infirm in structures nearby. The rooms are former Nuns cell converted to modern hotel facilities. The hotel is attached to a wonderful church from the 14th or 15th century (?). The grounds are peaceful and spacious providing guests with an opportunity to walk I manicured gardens. This cloister is on the route of the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela.
