It is a wonderful facility that very recently opened in Oviedo. Currently there is only one Dr there; however, they are looking to add 4 or 5 more doctors at this location. Dr Spears is a board-certified internal medicine physician who is very personable and caring of his patients. The staff is very friendly, kind, and professional. This facility is quite large, bright and welcoming, and has a convenient location. They accept many different insurances, and have same day appointments, ample provider time, and multidisciplinary care.

No surprise here. If other seniors encountered the same problems I did, they probably did the same thing I did and either went somewhere else or back to an old PCP. We only tried Well 65+ because we had moved and were concerned that an hour drive to our former PCP might not be wise in the event one or both of us became incapacitated. So the brief Well 65+ experiment ended up costing me out-of-pocket charges for lab work, that if had been properly coded, would have been fully covered by Medicare and/or Tricare. The facility manager and her boss did nothing to try and correct the problem. The regional person promised to see what she could do and would contact me back - which never happened. To the Sanford location's credit however, they did make me aware of a couple of issues (blood pressure and cholesterol) that needed attention.

Instead, we were informed by the office manager that the appointment had never been confirmed on their end and that my father was being discharged from the practice due to an alleged no-show on 6/9 and rescheduled appointments on 6/26 and 6/30. To clarify: - My father never had an appointment on 6/9. Neither he nor I scheduled one, nor were we ever informed of one. - On 5/30, he was hospitalized at AdventHealth East Orlando and was later transferred to PAM Rehab Hospital in Winter Garden, where he remained through 6/13. He was physically unable to attend, or even be aware of any appointment during that time. - It turns out the 6/9 appointment was made by AdventHealth during his hospital stay without our knowledge or consent. - I called the office on 6/26 and 6/30 to reschedule due to my father's recent hemorrhagic stroke, which has left him with significant daily challenges. At no point was I told of a rescheduling or cancellation policy, nor was I warned that his status as a patient was at risk. I was simply given a new appointment for 7/2. To then arrive and be told that his appointment was unconfirmed and that he had been discharged, with no prior notice was shocking and deeply frustrating. The communication breakdown was unacceptable. I strongly advise against seeking care from this office, especially if you or your loved one is living with a disability. Managing a disability is hard enough without the added stress of poor communication, indifference, and a lack of compassion from a healthcare provider and their staff.

The nurse and front desk staff remember you by name and it's so enjoyable to see then when you need to visit the doctor. The building is newer and very accessible. I have no problems with maneuvering my wheelchair in and around the office. There are accessible bathrooms that are large and easy to access. The elevators are huge and make maneuvering easy when entering and exiting. I would highly recommend Dr. Jianyu Li and her staff to anyone looking for a good internal medicine doctor.
