A beautiful old and historic building where many events and conferences are held. I am not sure you…read morecan just walk in and admire this building but I am guessing, one can. Located in the city above a hill this building was built in the early 1900's with grand interiors and beautiful decorative ceilings and pillars. It's mainly used for concerts and events and has plenty of parking. I really enjoyed this building and facilities and enjoyed the beautiful surroundings of the place. It's a nice location in the city of Wuppertal.

This big park (30 acres) is located above the Wupper valley in the Christbusch woodland…read more It was first built for entrepreneur Kurt Herberts, then sat abandoned for years before British sculptor and Wuppertal resident Tony Cragg purchased it in 2006. Cragg redesigned and renovated the place, opening Waldfrieden Sculpture Park in 2008. He wanted to show not just his own work, but also sculptures of other famous artists. Three glass pavilions (one of them with amazing views) show rotating exhibitions. We had a wonderful time walking in the trees (maple, oak, sequoia and beech trees) and discovering the art. It is such a rare treat to be able to enjoy nature and art at the same time. If you are in Wuppertal, I highly recommend a visit to Skulpturenpark Waldfrieden!
