I am considering my options but they have decided to not return my phone calls and have proved extremely unreliable. Full of promises at the begining (thanks for that Andrew Riddle, fit the stereotype perfectly!) and then it all falls apart. First lie was a 6-8 week turnaround as all made in UK. 2 weeks before the expected fit date, i was told it would be in fact 13 weeks! As this was part of a larger project, it messed up the whole plan and delayed the build. Next problem was an incorrect measurement for the 8 meter slide door, my builders had to open up the space for ODC but i get a threatening call from Simon (supposed customer care person) telling me that i would have to pay approx £2000 extra as he had to send his installation team home becuase the space wasnt ready for fitting that day. The problem was at the survey (thanks Elliot), as the space in the wall was already there when measurements were done. So not only did i have to pay for the builders to rectify ODCs mistake, i now had to fight off the snake that is Simon to get out of a £2000 fee for their installers (Which is well overpriced for a 4 man team, but thats another lie). They then botched the installation of 2 bay windows to the front of the house, when eventually i managed to get Operations Director Matt Charge to come to site, he himself described the work as shoddy. I thought that him seeing the problems would help, but it seems ODC have never measured up for or installed a bay window before. They are much better experienced at it now, as they had 5 attempts to rejig, change sills and eventaully change the end windows (twice) but alas, still couldnt seem to understand how to do it. The windows dont sit properly in the bay and i have spaces in the joints where i could get water ingress. They then blamed the walls and lintel saying theyr'e not straight but i showed them a photo of the previous window which they ripped out out, this was straight. The problem went back to the initial survey once again (thanks again Elliot), which was wrong. But they assured me during these attempts to rectify that they have remeasured and that it was going to work. But of course it never did. Also during these 5 attemps, i was now living in the property, and every few weeks/months we would have a hole in the side of the house with damage done to the plasterboard/internal sills and paintwork. I was told they would pay for the internal decroative repairs but of course that was another lie. I asked them to refund me for the bay windows, they declined. I made a claim against my credit card company and they have got back £5000, on bay windows that cost me £10,576.04 (and another £23+k on the rest of the job), but i have to order new bay windows which are now being quoted at over £12k. Not to mention the delays, inconvenience and stress this has casued. These cowboys are not FENSA registered, they tell you they are too big for that (Andrew with that lie), but the reality is it costs them money to be registered and it seems theres no support if you have issues with a dodgy company like this one without it. -- Funny that one of the installers admitted that they had major problems like mine with every 4 or 5 clients. So if you fancy a game of russian roulet, then make sure you buy from ODC.

Having originally…read morebooked installation to be completed by September, we still have several issues, wobbly doors, unfinished installations, scratched glass and one set of doors yet to be installed. In regard to the latter, after several exchanges the final installation was booked for today, 16th January, but the fitters failed to arrive. Only after following-up with the company was I informed that they had booked the wrong date. No one contacted me. Their admin person was left to pick-up the slack. Sad that no-one appropriate would take responsibility. Also be warned that the 'slim frames' aren't guaranteed. We ordered those for our two-story windows, but that is not what they installed. Whilst ODC seem to admit their error we still await a solution to rectify this. We have raised these issues with the sales team, head of installation, admin etc and they all pass the buck without accepting any responsibility. We have threatened legal action, but they are unfazed. The final straw is that the newly installed double glazed windows are all quite draughty and certainly offer less noise and weather insulation than our old windows. Overall incredibly dissappointed and an enourmous waste of money, and time.

In January I called to enquiry about installation. 5 phone calls later they advised they cancelled the order because the surveyor was not sure how they would fit the front door. No mentioned of the other 2 doors. Instead of saying sorry we've arranged this contract at a price that we can't fullfill they lied to me and said they would honour the original price for the doors except the front door that they thought would be difficult to fit. Just so they could get Jamie back to my house to requote for everything. Jamie then started to spin this web of lies to convince me that it is okay to do what they are doing. Daniel Robb the owner was pulling the strings on this process. The annoying thing is that if you look in the car park of Window Hub and find the car Daniel drives it will be an Audi or BMW. New. Probably on finance but funded by the ample profits his company is producing. Or funded by his salary even if the company isn't making any profits. This is the problem with dealing with a small business who do not have any experience of how to negotiate contract properly or plainly how to communicate. All they car about is what money they are making and how flash they are going to look in their new BMW. They have wasted my time and cost me a lot of money having to purchase doors at current inflated prices. They didn't even have an explanation that made sense or an excuse really. Zero stars on my review. I will be using Safestyle due to price, professionalism, and ability to carry out installation. Feedback I would give the WindowHub apart from the obvious is that they shold have a charity they support. Nothing. What benefit to society or the local community does Daniel Robb give? He just wants a flashy car - well that's just the way it appears and apprearances are everything. Greed is good.... as the saying goes.

The office staff needed a bit of a prod on occasion when supply, their very competitive, quote which was the best I got from all the other glazing firms I approached. I'm no sash expert but it looks good to me!…read more They guys were on time (15 mins early in fact) and were fun, pleasant people to have in the house. It's double glazed and they also used some special filler round the edge (apparently more rogue builders just use concrete which isn't as good) so now it lasts longer and keeps in warmth/dry (Again I'm no expert!) Apart from a few scuffs on wall and ceiling (but nothing major) and he did drop a smidge of paint on the carpet, it looks like a very good job!!really pleased.

It's taken a while to find this company after trawling the web and having various ridiculous…read morequotes, I saw this shop in passing when visiting a friend in Stoke Newington. After noting them down I checked them online and emailed them some images of the windows we needed replacing. I received a quote a few days later. I had a few questions and wanted to see some examples so I was invited to have look around their workshop in Leyton. I was very impressed and after a few tweaks to the design of the windows and french doors the order was placed. There was an onsite measure and we had an issue - we had a built in cabinet that could be a potential problem for the installation. I contacted the carpenter who made it and he assured me that he made it with replacing the window in mind. After assuring Ward we would take responsibility for any damage that occurred to the cabinet during the job we went ahead with the order. 6 weeks later I get a call and were good to go for installation. The chaps that came over were very polite and very considerate with working tidily. Apart from making a few cups of tea and occasional nail gun action I barely noticed them beavering away. After 8 hours of hard graft the job was done and we have fantastic french doors at the back of the house and we've had the glazing replaced around our front door. It's been a real pleasure dealing with a local company and we will definitely recommend them and use them again!

I had them put in some lovely anthracite aluminium french doors to the courtyard garden and it has totally transformed the space - even the other builders on-site all remarked at the amazing quality of the KeepOut doors. Lovely, helpful Sales Support at the end of the telephone - helping work through the project and keeping me informed. They were so good - that i contracted them to replace a few more windows - and when I've saved up some more money I will have them back again.

After the initial survey I decided to use Keepout because I felt the surveyor was very professional…read moreand it seemed like a reputable company. However after I had the measurements taken the issues started. I ordered 1UPVC bay window for the front of the house and two UPVC windows for the back of the house. After the initial measurements were taken I was told that one of the rear windows that were designed for me by the surveyor wasn't actually technically possible. This would lead to issues further down the line. I personally found it hard to understand why an experienced surveyor would design a window that wasn't technically possible. 22nd of March Fitting day arrived and after returning from work the fitters were still there and I found out the following:- Downstairs bay window * Huge gap outside all around the window. The fitters had not sealed any of the outside of the bay window. Water would easily be able to access the interior structure * Hole in the frame by the sill outside again making the interior of the window completely open to the elements. * The mechanism to the sash window was broken and no keys were provided which meant I was not able to open the window * Crack in the trim on the inside which can easily be flexed to show the crack. * Three significant dents or scratches * Mastic has been added before the window was cleaned properly meaning some of the edging has black staining * Trim around the window was not completed properly and there was an edge all around the window which was uneven and untidy. Upstairs window 1. * Window originally fitted upside down (see image, however they did pull the window out and then turn it the correct way up the same day) * No ventilation in the window and there is no space for this to be retrofitted * Scratched handle * Several scratches all over the window frame * The way the window had been designed meant that there was a child lock on the window. Because of the reassess it was not possible to access the child lock and therefore open the window 90 degrees which meant that it did not meet building regulations and was therefore not a viable upstairs window 23rd of March * A fitter returned to put a temporary sealant around the way window to protect it from the bad weather. * The site manager visited to confirm that all of the above issues were indeed correct and that a whole new window upstairs would need to be designed and built 24th of March * New fitters visited the property, fitted the new window upstairs and cleaned up the scratches and re-sealed the front of the bay window * They were unable to fix the mechanism inside the window and confirmed that this would have to be done at a later date. 26th of March * They tried to push me into paying the reminder of the invoice, even though the windows were not complete. At one point confirming they would be taking legal action. They confirmed that they would send someone around on the 10th of April (2 weeks later) to fix the mechanism in the bay window . 1st of April * I realised, almost two weeks after the initial fitting that they had failed to seal the outside of the 2nd window upstairs. The weather was extremely bad over this period and water was able to get into the cavity wall. Due to a holiday period for Keepout, no one was available for a full week until the 9th of April to even respond to my concerns. See image of unsealed window. 9th of April * After returning from their holiday period they returned removed the window, seale it and re-fitted it roughly three weeks of not being watertight 10th of April The manufacturer arrived.. He confirmed the following :- * The bay window mechanism was broken as expected, however the window was also fixed into place and was not able to be opened even if the mechanism was fixed. * It would be several more weeks until the mechanism could be fixed Keepout denied there was an issue with the window being fixed in place. 15th of May * Keepout and the manufacturer returned to fix the broken mechanism . It turned out that the window was fixed in place. The window had been glued using liquid plastic to the frame which meant it could not be opened. * The fitters had to prize the window from the frame breaking the trim at the bottom of the window, however the window was finally able to be opened. 29th of May * The fitters finally came to replace the trim and finish the windows. Summary * It took over 2 months for the windows to be fitted * After the initial fitting I had to take 4 days off work to supervise the work being carried out because of the poor standard of work * They repeatedly failed to notice significant issues with the design and fitting of the windows and it was my responsibility to inform them of the ongoing issues with the windows. * They refused to provide a discount due to the poor service and standard of work

Although I've never had work done by this company, the prices and quality of work showcased certainly impresses me, which is not an easy thing to do. As always with something like new windows or a conservatory, the best thing to do is to shop around for prices, but when you do, Carter Glass should definatly be one of your considerations.
