Then he called us at work, sounding drunk in the middle of the day, and threatened to take our house and have his friends in the sherriffs office remove us if we didn't pay. We had to refinance our house, and even though we paid the creep in full, he still tried to sue us and take our house. We shared our experience with some of our friends and found out that we aren't the only ones he's done this to.

Once the contractor finally got here he made the decision to do a completely different repair that took significantly less time and materials, and they still wanted to charge me $1400 for a job I could've done because "there aren't roof companies that do repairs, so we really do them as a favor so we make the short list when you need a roof". Had I received the correct communication or the amount of work done I was originally told I'd be getting this would be a better review. $1000 in the end for work I could have completed faster is wild.

In this instance, I was so shocked by Andrew's confusion that I had to share the experience. The estimate we requested was to repair a a 20 inch by 28 inch patch where we removed an old chimney. The estimate he gave was to replace 1/2 of a 2017 roof for $3.000. Literally. When i called him out, the bid went to $200 (too cheap). Miscommunications happen.....you may have better luck. Me, I don't believe that mistakes like this just happen
