I haven't been to zoom tan in a long time and I received a free tan email for my birthday. I decided to go and do the UV. The young lady in the front was very nice and helpful. The facility is clean and kept up nicely. Tanning in a 12 minute bed could get boring - only thing missing are radios for each room. Lol. read more

I had a great experience here. It's been a while since I've gone tanning and I was surprised to see how busy this place was on a Thursday afternoon. The staff was great and despite it being busy they were great at explaining everything to me, they were clear about the process and I didn't feel rushed at all. I opted for the spray tan. Laura went through the whole process and gave me some great tips to optimize my results. I'm very happy with the color, not orangey or fake looking at all. The place is very clean, staff is nice and makes you feel comfortable. I recommend getting the prep option so you don't smell like tanning spray. They also have a bunch of standup tanning beds. This is a great option to prep for an event or special occasion without having to damage your skin in the harsh sun. I'm adding this to my vacation prep checklist! read more

I purchased a package on 3/13/2023 which expires today and when I arrived the girl in the front called corporate and they said it expired yesterday so I have to purchase a whole new packager in order to receive all my expired sessions . I can honestly say I've been going there for a few years and I've not once experienced any issues or problems. The young ladies in the front are usually college students age and are very nice. I have never found a dirty tanning area. I would recommend this business. As for the burns I see in the reviews you have to use your own discernment and make sure you know how to properly use the tanning machine and what you should and shouldn't touch. I've been coming to this spot for a few years now and I'm always satisfied with the color that I choose which is level 2 (spray tan). The prices range from the level of spray I pay about $20. This place is clean and the girls at the front are very helpful at advising you which spray level is best for your skin tone. I personally have not tried the tanning bed at this location but after reading that the spray tan is so much safer then the tanning bed I have switched. When you do spray make sure you listen to the instructions carefully because you could double spray yourself and leave some of your body not sprayed lol. Also make sure to wash the palm of your hands well because removing the spray is very difficult. Another reminder you must not take a bath for at least four to six hours after the spray so try to come early. read more

I was traveling and needed a tan for the trip. When I approached the desk, I told this to the woman who waited on me. There were two people behind me waiting, so when she asked me to accept the terms of the contract, I said yes, not wanting to hold anyone up. As it turned out, the contract stated that I would be billed $45 every month until I cancelled. Unfortunately, I was unaware of this and was charged for the following two months before I caught it. When I called to ask about the charges, the woman stated that I agreed to the terms and then repeated that phrase every time I said something else. They refused to give me a refund. Therefore, I paid $90 for nothing. As far as the tan goes, it looked really nice at first, but into the second week, the color stayed only on my sun spots and I looked like I had a skin disease. I do not like when corporate America takes advantage of us. Yes, I was wrong not to read the contract, but a little understanding would be appreciated. read more

STAY AWAY or assume an awful and unhealthy risk. These pictures are indicative of my Post 10 minute stand up UV tan wherein I used the recommended Zoom tan lotion that they offer for sale, meaning I did not tan bare skin. This was not the first time I had ever received a UV tan there so I thought everything would be okay. It had been approximately between 3 weeks-1 month since my last tan so I decided to stop by. To my dismay, the next day I woke up with red, burn like marks in different areas of my body. I assumed they would go away gradually but the next day, they became infected, bright red, and warm. The day after, certain areas started bubbling. I've experienced discomfort sleeping, putting on clothes, and even showering. I finally called Zoom Tan to inform them of my experiences since my last visit. Corporate answered and asked for my name and number and managed to locate the room number I had tanned in. I apprised them as to what I was experiencing and asked if anyone else had contacted them to the same regards, perhaps someone who used my very same stand up machine. Their response was, "No, sorry but no one has complained." I then asked about my boyfriends room as he also went the same day as me but two minutes longer (12 minute stand up). I informed them that he too has burn like marks. They showed no sympathy and did not apologize for what WE are currently experiencing. Just blatant disregard in efforts to hang up fast and avoid me altogether. No offer to compensate my past visits, no efforts to mitigate my pain and suffering, NOTHING. Apparently, my health was taken lightly and my notice to them was taken with a grain of salt. If I would've seen this happen to someone else on these very same reviews I would have stayed away. I advise anyone to steer clear unless they are willing to risk exposing their skin to second and third degree burns, and as the MD advised upon my recent hospital visit, risk to potential skin cancer! My attending doctor asked if I had notified the "tanning salon," and I said I had but they had nothing to say. She then asked that I stop by and physically show them but what's the point? I'd rather post the pictures here after all, the front desk rep is not the person who initially received my call or takes any calls for that matter, it's the corporate office who responds. I have to say, I have been going to tanning salons for the last 2 decades. I have seen ALOT of tanning technicians, attendants, staff, etc. etc. The personnel at Zoom Tan, is among the ABSOLUTE BEST. I witnessed Alex, deal with a very, very difficult customer (that would have broken a normal attendant) with restraint, patience, respect and apathy. Alex was unbelievable, she could TRAIN &TEACH anyone, in almost any industry on superior customer service. I can't say enough good things about this location, and their staff. This place is a pretty great no nonsense tanning salon. I tried the UV standing bed (only available in level 5) and was pleased with the results. The rooms are clean, although I would have liked to see some wipes or something like I've seen in other salons. I would give this place a 5 except for the fact that I couldn't hear the music while in the bed and didn't know how much time was left while inside the bed. I know this isn't really their fault since it's probably an older machine. Overall, I would say this place had friendly service and great results. read more

I signed up for monthly membership and then recently moved to a city where there is no zoom tan around. I was charged my membership fee this morning and emailed customer service this same morning to cancel and request refund and I was told that would not happen. I could cancel but no refund could be issued even though it is the same exact day of charge! I think this is ridiculous and their morals are off because anywhere else would have refunded me especially since I have not been and made request same day as charge placed. It isn't a matter of can't its a matter of they don't want to and that really sucks for them to keep my money like that. I went to the salon asking to buy a one month package. The cashier told me that I could do that and had me sign up and pay for a month. She did not inform me that I was signing up for a membership that would charge me ongoing each month. I was there for vacation and we do not have zoom tan where I live. The day after I was billed for a second month, l immediately called customer service to see what was going on. They informed me that I was going to be charged every month until I canceled, something the receptionist did not tell me upon the sign up. I submitted a request that day for a refund for the second month and was declined. I had only used zoom tan about 4 times during the month I had purchased, as the standing beds get way too hot. Regardless, they have extremely poor customer service and I would not recommend going there. read more

I've been coming here for about a year and (almost) always have a decent experience. Their membership prices being the main attraction, the main drawbacks are location--make a Miami/Pines location already! Also, the auto-wash cycles on the spray tan machines wet the walls/floors of the machines so you'll always get a spotty tan on the feet. The machines have been functioning a little strangely lately--spraying clotted tanning fluid that pigments very unevenly. I was very happy going to zoom tan the last 2 years. This year they decided to do things differently and only offer month to month membership, I was not aware of this change due to having the past agreement of yearly membership. They renewed my membership without informing of the new changes. 2nd during this horrible Covid pandemic they closed and reopened in June and due to the spread of the virus I was hesitant and did not attend any zoom tans during these past months. I reached out to see when it was they opened and they informed me it was in June that they opened and where very dismissive about the months that I lost due to this Covid outbreak. Customer service informed me that I should have checked their social media in order to know that they had opened, I received no email of this news and the text messages. Then they informed me due to my non cancelling I was not eligible for a refund during those months of me not attending. I went ahead and cancelled and was then informed there will be none fund issued. I don't like the beach because I can't stand the sand, I don't want to get cancer so I don 't like to use tanning beds. If you're like me, this is the place to go for a good spray tan. The results are amazing. You get an even tan that last about a week. I go twice a week cause I wanna look like Jay Z but that's just me lol I highly recommend this place. Its extremely affordable. Love this place. Have been here twice and have loved my tan each time. The only way to mess up your tan is if you stand in the wrong position or don't stand still. I wish I could give it a 0. The service I experienced was horrible. I walked in for the first time expecting professionalism, a spa type feeling, friendliness, good service and I walked out feeling horrible. The girl in the front (with piercings and tattoos) was rude, had no etiquette, explained things rushing through it all and leaving things out so I find out at the end when it was too late. Did not take me to the room at least as a polite gesture to show me around, basically she let me know "you're on your own". Too long to explain leading up to when I stepped in the booth which felt dirty, but to make the long story short, the first session was awful. After trying to let the girl in the front know what happened, she told me through the door from the room that I was in, that I had to give her my credit card again to charge me for another session since it turned out so bad. Only one side was done and uneven. Really? The second session was worst than the first, again too long to explain. On the receipt it says "no refunds" , that should tell you a lot. I walked out of there rushing to get home to wash it off. Do you think the girl in the front said anything to me to make me feel better or to try to do something so that I wouldn't leave upset and disappointed?, no, nothing came out of her mouth as I walked passed her knowing that I was upset. I went home and I researched them and found out that there was a violating, scary incident that happened there a month before and it came out in the news which says a lot about how they run their business. I will never trust a tanning salon again. I sent a letter to their main office explaining what happened to me and they never responded. I came to this location because my friend and I purchased a Groupon and it was the closest one. The experience was fine, but the service was absolutely horrible. There was only one employee in the store and she could not have been more rude. She was not polite or pleasant in any way, in fact, I felt like I was annoying her by being there. Once I got in the booth, I began spraying on tanning oil and as I was halfway through, she began pounding on my door saying "ARE YOU USING SPRAY", yelling in fact and demanding that I hand it over. There were no signs in the store warning customers to refrain from using spray oil, and I looked around for them after my session and did not see any. She scared me half to death and then asked me to give her the bottle. I was pretty much naked and felt violated and annoyed. My tan is uneven, my skin is dry and I left unhappy with my experience. Word of advice to the owners: hire someone who wants to be there and makes people want to come back, also there should be signs in the store that indicate this "rule".
