He brought…read morelife to the subject matter with his enthusiasm, humor, and deep knowledge of the subjects he taught. He got us excited about wanting to come to class each week and always kept us on our toes - challenging us to be the best students we can be. Fast forward 20 years later and I still have fond memories of him as someone who is committed to helping students achieve their full potential. So much so, that I recommended him to my girlfriend, who needed math tutoring for her teenage son. Within a month, Dale had brought him back from the brink of failing geometry. He ultimately wound up with a high mark in the course. This saved my girlfriend a lot of grief and Dale set her son on a path to success as his confidence in overcoming geometry translated into doing well in his other courses and life in general. If you want someone sharp and good at quick turnarounds, Dale is the tutor for you! I'll be sending my son to him when/if that day comes.

We had a bunch of reasons for searching out alternative schooling for our kids. Mainly my son was not thriving in traditional public school classes. They were large, he was overwhelmed and falling behind. The idea of homeschooling on my own was overwhelming. Finding H2H was seriously a God send. The progress I have seen in my kids is beyond words encouraging.

It was a rough…read moreyear as we had lost our home in LA earlier that year and because we were hopping around to different Airbnbs, I had to pull my child out of kindergarten. My child was very sad and would often cry they couldn't read. They knew all their letter sounds but wanted to be able to read "big kid words and books". Just 9 months later my child, now in 1st grade, is not only reading but reading books and testing at a 3rd grade reading level. My child is so proud of themself and we are so grateful for Ms. Cathy. She was not only an incredible reading tutor and mentor but she was a warm and strong constant in our child's life while things were wildly shifting and changing. She runs and engaging and motivating reading program they any child could benefit from. So grateful for discovering Tutoring by Cathy Bray and the time we've gotten to spend with her. If you're seeking academic support for your child in the desert whether long term, summer or reading groups this is absolutely the place to go!

My son had evaluation for speech therapy in which when I started services with let's talk they told me that they would have morning available appointments after we did the evaluation we would be able to get started. Nothing was mentioned about months and months long waiting list. After my son had his evaluation no follow up was done at all with me. I had to call back multiple times myself and inquire about what was going on in which I was told his report was being completed and after that they would call me no call ever came. I had to keep calling them back five weeks after his evaluation they finally told me that he is on a waiting list for 3 to 6 months and I don't even think they would've ever told me that if I didn't call myself. Again I have no issues with the office. I really enjoyed the therapist and I wish that my son could start services there but 3 to 6 months is just a really long time when looking for early intervention.
