The word zoo conjures up in my mind the expectation of the opportunity to see a plethora of unusual animals from all corners of the globe. On this occasion I was in for a disappointment. Given this is situated on a tiny island in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea they can probably be forgiven for their rather lacklustre collection of wildlife but still, with the odd exception this is basically a farm. Nevertheless it's a good day out if you have young children. You can get up close and personal with most of the animals and the staff put on a decent display with the collection of birds of prey.
