Neighborhood restaurants are always one of the best things about Belgium. In particular after visiting Zoete Bron, I came out with my family and we all were pleased. Note, if you're looking for pepper saus, Zoete Bron had the best one during our whole entire trip. Hands down. Another thing about this tavern/brasserie, is that they are super family friendly. If you have a young one, they have a whole section with toys and what not to keep the kids entertained until the food arrives and also after they're done eating. For food, I had the vol au vent. I kind of find this dish sort of akin to chicken pot pie in the States. I enjoyed it and pastry was nice and light mixed in with the chicken and sauce it was very enjoyable. It makes sense that the restaurants in this area are so kid friendly with the park so close by. There is a kids area with toys at the restaurant and the kids meal comes with a small toy. Overall, the food was good. One person at our table ordered a steak with the pepper saus. It was heavy on the pepper which everyone really enjoyed. read more
