First, every past experience has been terrific. When I visited in the afternoon the day before Thanksgiving , the young lady was extremely rude. I simply asked if she could add more milk to the latte as it was 3/4's full, and her response, "I was complaining." I asked very nicely. She then lied and told me that the chocolate chip bread was banana bread. When I asked her name, she told me it didn't matter. Today, the day after Thanksgiving, she made the latte cold and short poured it. She has a real attitude and she's costing the business. read more

#fatjared say...a cute gem of a coffee shop in an awesome downtown area of a small southern town. A great mission, friendly people, and gorgeous inside. Not perfect, but the only place for a unique coffee I would suggest. I have a criteria I give stars off of, and to get 5 stars, since that is the best you can give on Yelp, that means perfection. Few things about Zoe's was not perfect, hence the 4 stars, but this place was awesome. It says 6:30 but really opens at 7, most bags of coffee are ground, when it's easier to have whole bean and grind if someone asks, the coffee I got had an expiration date that had passed on it (but let's be real how do beans expire...NBD), and the coffee, while great, was not 5 stars. The thing I love about this place is that everything is local, intentional, friendly, and with a great purpose. They employ people who want to learn a trade. It's ministry based so they give back to people in Africa who need water, and the theme and names of drinks are all Lion King which is super nostalgic. I ordered the Cold Brew. It was light, flavorful, not too intense, and a smooth drink. Nowhere near the best I've had, but seems like they are learning the trade! You can do a full breakfast here, and work here also. Overall, I would come back every time I visited. Not perfect, but an incredibly fun spot to start the day!! read more
