When we booked them for a recent weekend with "premium overnight service", we answered the questions that were asked on their app so that the sitter would know, in advance, our house and our pets. In addition, we left the same information, in detail, in writing for the sitter to read, highlighting the important points in red. Our requests were often ignored and disregarded. Our pets' feeding schedule was not adhered to, neither was the schedule to take our dog out first thing in the morning before feeding (she was awake for over an hour, then fed, and then finally taken outside). The simple care requests regarding our home were overlooked as well. All of these issues, and more, were recorded with cameras in the house that were only in public areas and clearly visible. The sitter, also at one point, told us that she knew our dog (after just 2 days) better than we did. What nerve! When we exchanged emails afterwards with the owner and her assistant, they blew us off, and told us we expected too much and had unreasonable requests. We detailed our requests in advance. They failed to live up to their end.

I reached out again asking if there had been any incidents while we were gone, I was told yes, after the first night the sitter woke up and saw him on the floor, next to a side table that was toppled over, she suspected he "fell hard that night" and "he couldn't walk from that day forward" . THE FIRST NIGHT WE WERE AWAY AND WE WERE NOT TOLD UNTIL A FEW DAYS AFTER WE RETURNED HOME AND ONLY AFTER I ASKED IF SOMETHING HAPPENED. We looked at our cameras at this point and we found a video where the table is on his bed! This was seen by the sitter, he couldn't walk after this, yet Niko wasnt taken to the vet, we werent notified of this at all. To be clear on the facts, the sitter woke up to a table on his bed, Niko wasnt able to walk and NOTHING WAS DONE except to start using a harness to help him get around and we were not told! This is heartbreaking and so not OK! Had he been taken to the vet for medical care right away who knows how things couldve turned out different. When I found out these facts I demanded to speak with the owner of the company, Tara, she had a list of excuses and showed zero compassion. I was told at first the sitter was going to be disciplined and that isnt how she "runs her buisness" but then she back tracked and I was told "our sitter provided attentive and thorough care". I said we were going to have to euthanize him so he wasnt suffering, i received a generic sorry for your loss and that "your senior dog is being euthanized due to age, not negligence " , THIS is the kind of person who is running this company! Even then, she wouldnt take any accountability. I was made to feel like they did such a great job because they got waterproof pads and cold cuts for him and an offer to speak with a vet friend. Apparantly that is "thorough care" not taking Niko who wasnt eating or walking on his own to the vet. Shortly after our conversation, my access to the portal was removed, my messages and emails are ignored. The worst mistake of my life is hiring this company and I will never forgive myself for hiring them.

Joanna responded immediately and she also was able to get a hold of a couple of strong volunteers to help lift our dog into the cab. She swiftly transported us to the ER where Joanna got out of the cab and made sure that personnel brought a gurney for my shepherd who could not walk & was promptly admitted. Joanna was so caring and kind during this terribly upsetting time. I had to call upon her again when our shepherd was discharged a week later and had to be brought to the vets for medical boarding. Joanna also sent her son to transport us and he is a truly lovely young man and equally as helpful. I again called upon Joanna when our Shepard needed to go to AMC for a check up and transportation back to the vets for another week of medical boarding. Pet Cab was so prompt so professional so caring Joanna is simply the greatest. and I will be calling upon her again because our dog. will need further transport. Transporting an 84 pound German shepherd is not an easy task and requires a lot of assistance and Joanna was always able to find assistance since neither of us could lift such a large dog.
