WS has two things in abundance, self-service car washes and oil change places. Honestly I have never seen so many of both in one town in my life. But out of necessity we needed to wash the muck and mire from the recent storm off the Tardis (we call our SUV that because it feels bigger on the inside). It was $12 for a regular was, I didn't see the need for the added and extra costs of other items like tire washing....doesn't it wash your tires? I mean you don't leaven them outside when you drive through....anyway, regular wash it was and debit card accepted. We drove in, churned through and popped out the other side. It was going to be a 3 star but the one and only employee that was there saved them , I picked up one of my cars from the service center at Chevy up the road from here and decided to take both my car and my girlfriend car to get cleaned I went first and my girlfriend was right behind me I went through just fine and I came out and she was still trying to get in I would assume that one of the employees would have went to her a helped her but no so I parked in one of the cleaning line and walked over to help her got that done and then went back to my car to vacuum and wipe it clean but there was no rags or window cleaner at all so I started looking for somebody that worked there and realized that the one guy who was guiding us to into the conveyor was the only person there and had everything in the office so that he can be able to keep a eye on everything he was very helpful and friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we was happy read more

I started coming here when it first opened up. I liked it so much that I got one of the 3 monthly unlimited wash plans they offer. The staff is courteous if you ever have to deal with them. The place has since gone completely down hill. Depending who you get at the entrance of the wash will determine if they power wash around the entire car(like they are suppose to do) or they will just do part of the front and rear and the drivers side. They seem to just stand there pointing the power washer and not make any effort to get the entire car. So be ready for your passenger side to have gunk stuck on. The drive trough wash seems fine with no issues. But once you get out you may have to move your car a couple of times to find a working vacuum. Don't even try the air nozzle as they don't work at all and have not been for awhile. Towels are either completely stocked or empty, same with window cleaner. We always get the $7.00 wash here. It's a great wash for that price and you get free vacuum stations, towels and window cleaner to finish yourself. They lost one star for the lack of sufficient staff. The last time we come to this location they had only one person working. This time there were two that I could tell, but when the one who was working the entrance to the wash was pulled away the whole line came to a halt. On a busy Saturday that resulted in the line backing up quite a bit. One more employee would be helpful Zips owners. I will continue to patronize Zips in the future for sure. The amenities far outweigh the lack of staff and unlike their other location on Hanes Mall Blvd. this location usually has all their vacuums in working order and they have that great crevice blower thingy that really helps get the stuff that gets stuck in the small areas of your car out. Does Zips do as good a job as the full service places? No. But you'll pay a fraction of the price. Should you bring your $80k Mercedes to Zips? Probably not. Being able to bring your SUV or van to get a decent wash without paying an inflated price just because it's a larger vehicle: totally worth it. read more

During the wash the machine reset, after the wash I looked at my car and it was not only still DIRTY, but scratched up. (Due to the scratchers I wasn't running my car back through again) Filed a claim with the company and was denied ! They are taking no responsibility in this situation and basically told me to file a claim with my own insurance ... For something that's not my fault... Even the manager on duty stayed "what probably happened was, it was some debris in the machine and it drug across your car" Even asked "is this a new car?" BUT they aren't responsible ? Too often I go to this location during posted business hours and the location is closed without any explanation. I went here at 7pm on March 26 to find barricades at the entrance. They were apparently just put up because there were still cars at the vacuums, but the bay door was closed. If they are not going be open until 8pm, then they should post correct times of operation. ABSOLUTE MAGIC!!! This place is incredible! As soon as you drive through the car wash...a disco ball comes down and unicorns come out from either sides at EVERY single wash station and they all do a little dance. I'm not sure how I feel about unicorns twerking But that's neither here nor there. I wish car washes were really like that But really you should go check em out. It's just a good place to wash your car. Decent washes but DO NOT GET A MEMBERSHIP! They will not let you cancel at the car wash, online, or by phone. Seems like a scam to get you to just keep it instead of fighting them to get the membership cancelled. Unacceptable. read more

Not only is this a great idea and very convenient but the people who work there are awesome. My 6 year old son loves to go through the wash and if he has a good week at school, we go on Fridays. This Friday however, while wiping our car down and vacuuming afterwards, we accidentally locked our keys and phone in the car. The staff were more than helpful, allowed us to use their phones and even offered us a ride to where we needed to be. Not many places would do that for you these days and I am so grateful for that there are still places that truly care about their customers!! Went today for the very first time. Sad to say I didn't think I had to worry about damage to my vehicle. It's clear spelled out on the receipt, "Suds up is not responsible for any of the following items: rear windshield wipers, antennas or side mirrors ............ any vehicle over 5 years old." I've been going through car washes for all of the 10 years I've owned my SUV and never had any issues till today. Lost my rear window wiper. Not just the wiper but the arm that holds the wiper as well !!!!!. Snapped right off !!! Amazingly my antenna proudly stayed standing. Guess I learned my lesson to stick with the "touchless" car washes. So if you have an SUV, think twice. read more
