Probably the worst car wash I've been to. Not only did it make my truck dirtier, it also added a horrible coating all over my windows, wheels, and trim pieces. After the wash, the entire right hand side of my truck was COVERED in a black sticky hardened residue. No clue what it was, however it 100% came from the wash. Vacuums didn't work as well... I will not return. Huge waste of time and money, as I had to clean it after the wash, which took a significant amount of time. read more

I paid $25 to get a horrible service. After my car was washed while vacuuming my child had to use the bathroom. My child was refused to use the bathroom and he peed on himself. I was previously here before and used the rest with no problem. I will be canceling my membership such an embarrassing moment for me and my child to experience. read more

Got the "basic" car wash. Cost $12 including vacuum. Did not even get all the dirt off my car. They have rags and "cleaner" which I'm pretty sure was just water because it had no smell, was clear and didn't really do anything. Used said rags to wipe dirt off the back of my car and front window. Saw other people doing the same so I'm assuming their cars didn't get fully clean either. Not impressed especially compared to similar establishments. read more

Today I went to wash my car; I have the unlimited car wash package and Caitlyn at this location would not rinse my car. When I asked her to, she snarled and rolled her eyes and walked away resulting in a DIRTY car. I didn't have the time to drive back through again. But needless to say my car is still dirty no help to CAITLYN being lazy. But I did need additional help and JEREMY was amazing and helpful helping me with everything else. read more

i went to zips carwash in clemmons NC back in July of 2023. The carwash dropped my car off the track without me hitting the brake, turning the wheels, or anything of my doing. I literally just did as directed by the signs and the staff. When my car was dropped off the track the vehicle behind me ran into the back of my car and damaged my bumper. I tried to get it resolved at the carwash with the employees but they had no idea what to do. To make this story short I filed a claim with their online claims department and was told that someone would get in touch with me multiple times and that never happened. Zips owes me a new bumper and I recommend nobody use this business because they will potentially damage your car and ignore you to keep from paying to fix what they damaged. read more

Convenient location with a great monthly pricing structure if you want frequent car washes. Fast and easy. And free vacuums. That's actually pretty good on its own. But what really makes or breaks a location like this is the staff and the service. And for that I have to heap some lavish praise on this place. The basic service is always good, people efficiently getting you through and looking out for your car. I however had an experience that was above and beyond anything I would expect. While vacuuming out my car, to my horror, a switch on the side of my chair popped off and was sucked down the vacuum. I watched and listened in dismay as it was sucked up the series of tubes. As a Longshot I went in and mentioned it to the staff, who also realized it was a long shot and express as much but told me to come with them. The likelihood was that it could be anywhere even stuck underground. But he opened up the unit and actually pulled out the collections of unimaginable gross stuff as you can guess. And actually sifted through it for me without question. And he found it! Seriously! I will leave to your imagination the horrible, disgusting things that people must have vacuumed out of their car that day. And probably every day. But after that employee, there is no way I would be able to give this place anything but 5 stars! read more

Below review is from my BBB complaint filed against Zips. Suffered damage to my vehicle and the business has been either unresponsive or divisive. Where I'm going to get my car fixed here in Clemmons by one of the top body repair shops has had a growing volume of cars damaged by the Clemmons and Winston Salem Zips locations. I'd highly recommend reconsidering doing business with Zips. The convenience was great but their lack of maintaining their equipment that can damage your car and the lack of accountability from the business to take of these matters is of big concern. Truly a socially irresponsible company. My vehicle was damaged by the side brush assembly in the car wash having a recessed door molding ripped off my car. On 4/4/20 my 2015 Porsche Macan had a recessed door molding torn off by the side brush assembly. The wash attendee instructed me to pull around to the office where I was harassed by a rude employee, Michelle, that represented themselves as the manager. Michelle completed the damage claim assessment taking pictures of the damage. I was contacted back 4/6/20 by an employee claiming to be the district manager, Mark Andrews, who claimed my car was already damaged and in disrepair when I entered and this was my problem. Mark Andrews called back a second time childishly harassing me with yelling and hung up. Contacted the corporate office through Facebook regarding the issue and they stated the district managers were actually Kyle West and David Cook and asked I contact them. After a few email reach out attempts to Kyle, I had to have the corporate office follow up with them to respond to me. Received a short email that the site manager said a review was done and denied responsibility, no response to my requests for them to personally review or to send me photos of my vehicle in disrepair entering the wash as claimed. Company staff has been very deceptive about representing their positions with the company and unprofessional with lack of accountability and harassment call. The persons in the proper positions to address the matter have shown disregard to my contact attempts are negligent in reviewing and addressing the damage caused by their facility. Wish I could have given this place no stars. Beware: Do not sign up for monthly unlimited. We moved to Winston 2 years ago and out of 24 months, I can only remember maybe 2 months where the mechanics in the car wash worked correctly. Every other month I had to rewash the car each time because the wash left soap or other weird streaks on the car. Owners care nothing about keeping the mechanics working. Staff is nice but they can only do so much. The owners are the ones to blame with this location. Also, forget trying to cancel your membership. They keep charging me every month even after I cancelled. Impossible to find the right person who can make the billing stop so I have reverted to other city complaints. I know they will never stop charging me. This place should be shut down. read more

Well. ZIps employee stated I could get a refund because I cancelled my long held membership within 4 days after the payment. The phone rep stated it had to be within 7 days prior to renewal. The problem with that is how did I know some random terrible people would use my vehicle for target practice antics. Zips couldn't care 1 microbe about my loss of thousands of dollars, they just needed to keep that member money. I realized that Zips had lost quality over a year ago and I should have left at that time. I did sign up at Fins with my other vehicles and I was dragging my feet with Zips on my departure. I get two vehicles unlimited at fins for the same one vehicle price at Zips. Also there is no Zips at the beach but Fins is there. I also appreciate Fins having a mat wash where Zips has none and there vehicle exit is always dirty and slippery. Try Fins and see if you like it. Also when Zips initially opened I put in the claim as they stated for my antennae and they did nothing. I should have just left at that time. Oh well. Its in my rear view now. Go Fins!! read more

This place was great when it was Shine Time Express, but it has continued downhill ever since being bought by Zips. There was an immediate change in how well the car wash cleans and I was told by an associate, who was there during the acquisition, that they changed to cheaper chemicals, increased the belt speed, and raised prices. There continue to be frequent mechanical issues with the machines that take the money, mechanisms within the car wash itself, and vacuums not working. One time the gate broke and fell right in front of my car. I continue to go there because of convenience and my unlimited package price was grandfathered in. No way would I pay the Zips prices. Vacuums don't work and trash cans always full along with dirty towels. Used this place twice and bought a membership the first time because of the price of the initial car wash being so high. They don't brush the front of the car and one side of the sprayers doesn't work. The first time I left after the wash because I tried two vacuums and neither one worked. The second time I chipped four of the end spokes off my wheels when my car slipped off the track. There was no one to guide us into the car wash so everyone had to do it themselves. The kid didn't even notice until I stopped my car once off the track and stared at him waiting for instructions. He was too busy on his phone and talking to the girl inside. This car wash used to be very good but it has gone downhill. I chose the wash with tire shine and it did nothing. Many of the vacuums are broken. The one I chose had little to no suction so I had to move my car to another one. Thank goodness they were not busy. There used to be a machine that you put your floor mats in and it would beat the dirt out of them. That is no longer there. Maybe the pandemic has affected the owners pocketbooks and they can't afford to keep the place up? read more

My truck as guided into the car wash by an attendant she left the car wash for the office. As my truck started into the car wash, I could tell there was something wrong. However, there was no one to help I yield for help honked my horn to get the staffs attention. It was too late. My truck was pushed over the rail and the driver's side front bumper was damaged. They finally stopped the car wash, and I was able to get out of my truck and when I saw the damage, I asked the attendant how to file a claim. That is when the challenges began, I had to write out a narrative of the experience. He said he did not have anyone's phone number or email for me to contact. I had to look up the cooperate office on the internet and sent the narrative several pictures of the damage after over a month of no response. after pursuing them through emails. I finally got a call from them denying my claim without an explanation. This is one of the worst customers serves experiences I have ever had. By purchasing a 20.00 car wash now I have 1000.00 of front-end damage. Good luck if you use this service in the future. read more

The staff is lazy. They won't even prespray your car unless the boss is there. I saw one girl spraying a car as I drove by and then when I got there she didn't spray mine. I asked her why she wasn't going to spray my car and she lied and said the presprayer was broken. read more

Was a good wash when they opened as shinetime. After being sold everything changed. I have bought monthly passes for all our cars but am canceling now and will never come back. Last time through the wash did over $1,000 of damage to my new car, they refuse to pay for repairs and will not call me back. Best car wash for the $. Always well stocked with towels and cleaning spray. My only complaint would be lot is small, often crowded, and some of the vacuums are slightly weaker. But the location is really convenient so what do you expect, it gets a ton of traffic being so close to the Mall. Staff are friendly and always helpful. read more
