The woman who did my nails had been there 7 years. She did a great job -- very detail oriented. I love that she didn't use an electric filing tool and hurt my fingers. The salon was hip and clean.

However I decided to add on a manicure and felt pretty ripped off. On the price sheet it stated that it was 546, then at the register they charged an additional 98 to remove the gel polish, 546 for new polish, and added a manicure for 285. Fortunately I ran out of time and skipped the pedicure. I even went back after doing the math on my head thinking she over charged me for the pedicure I had to skip, but the cashier was kind enough to show me the break down. All in all- I was charged $2142 MXN plus tip on top, and left with bloody cuticles and an icky feeling. Won't be coming back :/

Could not get through to make a reservation on the phone so since I was staying in Roma Norte anyways I stopped by in person to reserve for the next day. You're in the right entry near the gas station and upstairs, there will likely be a gentleman there at a podium and just say you are going to Paprika. I got an appt w Alex, and it was 730 pesos. Prices range from 630+ (see menu pic) so if cost is super important you can double check what the stylists they give you will be. They take cards of course. My Spanish is so so, so after I told Alex a little bit about what I wanted for my long straight hair we had another bilingual stylist confirm and talk it out to make sure. I loved the haircut. It's stylish, light layers and he took a lot of time to finish it and really make it look great. I have now been at the beach a few days, barely washing it or maintaining it and it's still a gorgeous mane. Very happy with my decision to go here instead of a lame small town salon when I got home.

Although it looked nice on the outside once you get inside you discover that they do not have sanitized tools. Their version of sanitized is soap and water. This is dangerous because they could be spreading bacteria. Then I made the mistake of getting my haircut. How someone can fuck up a simple trim is beyond me. The worst part was that I brought my Firend and husband and also subjected them to this experience and wasted their money. I am so embarrassed. My hair was so fucked up that after asking them to fix my bangs I realized how bad they were and just told them to stop and left as quickly as possible. Not to mentioned I took a chance and agreed to a hair treatment. After asking for prices and length of effect I chose to take it safe and go with the shortest lasting and cheapest. Only to discover they had apply the most expensive and longest lasting treatment. Now I just have to pray I can move on from this embarrassing experience. It was so bad I rather not complain and try to forget how awful and unsanitary my experience was.
