Well thank goodness the music stopped after a few minutes because it would have felt almost welcoming. Aside from being genuinely cold (14°c-ish), the reception similarly frosty.
I've never received a more zero-syllabic service in my life. Shown to our seats, order taken and wine delivered without a word.
A party of three were seated on two two-seater tables separated by a flower planter. The house red was serviceable, once it had warmed.
Once each pizza had been prepared, we were able to watch it cool on the side as the others cooked, until two were prepared. I was lucky enough to wait for mine, allowing the rest of my party to ¾ finish theirs, then watch me eat.
The food itself was unique and tasty, using a crepe as a pizza base is an idea I fully intend to copy. This barely begins to makes up for everything else.
Glacial really is the best way to sum up this restaurant, from service and reception, through to atmosphere. Thankfully the menu describes it as one-of-a-kind. read more
