This location also has the ability to make lenses onsite so there is very quick turnaround. I also had some eye surgeries so I spoke to PC and he understood what I went through. During this time many other people came in to visit with the dentist, not patrons, mind you. In a nutshell, we were disregarded, suffered rudeness and requires were asked of us that crosses lines. Also, all the equipment looks like it was new in 1972. I recommend this place be shut down. PLEASE AXOID IT AT ALL COSTS. RUDE MF'RS

Dr. Brownlee and his most excellent staff took the time to listen to my explanations of the problem and were successful in finding a prescription that worked! Dr. Brownlee even had to pull out old time tech instead of just the gizmos that usually work today to fine tune the prescription. Mr Dr. Matocha heard how I had lasik from Houston eye associates, he seemed uncomfortable evaluating my vision, and after an hr or so, when he finished recommended that I return to HEA in Houston and charged me $50.00. And His wife did just that. All I got was a receipt. This was the most bazaar and most unusual exam in my entire life, I'm a older woman, have worn glasses for over 3/4% of my life and never ever have I experienced this type of result-EVER! I've had time to finally want to share my experience with local or new island neighbors. This was a negatively stunning exam by a optician ever!

i had an appointment early in the morning at 9 and got there 20 minutes early. at five minutes…read morebefore nine i tried to open the front door, but it seemed like the door was locked or might've been jammed. I gave up trying to open the door because i didn't want to accidentally break it. I waited outside some more and when the door was opened for me 10 minutes later i went to the counter only to be told by the lady that I was 15 minutes late. It was only 9:12. I tried to explain to her the door was not opening (I even knocked twice) and she completely disregarded what I was telling her which I kind of brushed off maybe she wasn't a morning person. The staff was not nice. seemed like they didn't even wanna be there. There were moments during my eye exam I felt like the doctor was being a bit distant towards me, and I even tried to make a small talk but they just weren't having it. at one point he told me to un cross my legs, which confused me since they weren't in his way, and I thought the main focus was my eyes, not my legs.... it really sucks because I have been coming here since I was a kid and it seems like a lot has changed. no matter how polite I was they just all were very cold towards me.

I gave Dr. Ullman's office a try (it's currently Broadway Vision, I believe) and was really happy! He listened as I described that my old prescription for one of my eyes wasn't working very well and that my contacts seemed scratchy in my eyes, and I could tell he focused on trying to help me with those issues. I didn't feel rushed through my exam at all, as I've had with other eye doctors (you know, when they're flipping those lenses back and forth as fast as they can go and you barely have time to register which one looks better?). The selection of frames isn't huge, but it's surely worth checking through! One of the women working there was wonderful in checking color/fit options in the frames I liked. At first my main plan was just to get my current frames updated with new lenses, and to check to see if I might like any other frames. I did find some and then hee-hawed around, trying to decide whether to get them, come back later, or not get them at all. I LOVED and VERY much appreciated that I didn't feel pressured even a little tiny bit to get the new ones. Which I eventually did. :) Oh--and their exam prices were the best I could find after 5 calls around!

She was not patient with my daughter at ALL! She was getting so upset at the fact that she was talking a little more softly than other kids. She got up and said to my daughter "I don't get why you're not answering me, if it's not that hard of a question, my kids had their exams since they were 5yrs old!" She then proceeded to mumble under her breath. When I asked her what she was saying and she clearly saw how mad I was at her reaction she changed her attitude. I will not be going back there again!

He is in a rush and does not listen to patients. I had to wait one hour to be seen and he never apologized for the delay. He acted like he was doing me a favor for seeing me. I cannot recommend this ophthalmologist to anyone.
