The few men inside where with their women. I felt a little bit unfitting. Besides that I wanted to work a little bit. But that felt unfitting too. The small room was really full and you couldn't flee into a small corner. Besides that negative points it was really good. The service was very friendly, the tea was beautifully served and the waffle needed a little bit too long in the production but was also great then. Generally a really nice place. But for single males who want to work just the wrong place.

The café/bar is situated in the center of Oldenburg. It is one of the places in the Wallstraße which is really worth to step in. The menu is excellent and you may enjoy a wide variety of delicious dishes. Also the morning brunch is excellent. In summer you may sit outside and enjoy the pleasant atmosphere in the pedestrian zone of Oldenburg. In the evening it is a good place to meet some friends and enjoy the flair this place.

Lots of young people go there. In summer you can sit outside of the café and watch the people walking by. The service is excellent, The menu is great. You find a excellent choice of different meals. Young and people of the middle age go there to meet friends or simply to relax. It may be a good idea to combine a shopping tour in the center with a visit of the Florian-Grand Café. It is really worth going there.

As a special characteristic you will find a winter garden with a very pleasant atmosphere. It is a preferred place to meet friends or to have breakfast or diner. In the morning you probably may try the breakfast buffet. It is excellent. Lots of people in the twenties and in the middle age go there after being in the center. It is a great place to stop while having a busy day. In summer you may sit outside and enjoy the sun. It is next to the river Hunte. It is really worth going there and enjoy this place.

Located on the cycle wheel route around Oldenburg, it is also a great stop for cyclists, though it lacks safe cycle parking. The Mill's weekend brunches are popular and it is a good destination for lunch, afternoon teas and dinner. For an early Sunday supper in early October we were happy to still be served at one of their tables outdoors by the mill pond, for which their friendly and apparently well trained staff brought us blankets as the night progressed. The diners were a mix of families, groups celebrating something and diners from Oldenburg and surroundings. The Wassermühle has built a pizza stove for pizzas and tart flambée - these Flammkuche were good, considering that Wardenburg is a six hours drive from the Alsace. A soup, two Alsacienne tart flambée (Flammkuchen), and two drinks came to €14 per head, which I consider modest in relation to the quality, service and pleasant surroundings. Note: Unfortunately the people at the Wassermühle follow the bad German habit of preparing milk coffee (e.g. Caffè Latte Macchiato, Café au lait et al) with what they call "normal milk", which is unfortunately terrible UHT milk. Restaurants have fridges, so there is no need to pour dead white liquid into coffee. I take away one star for slaughtering espresso.
