I had a case with these people and they did not really represent me the way that a professional law firm should have. I had an injury case involving a fracture. I was ready to go all the way to trial, but they were not. Some law firms just want to make a quick buck rather than go all the way to a trial. This is why they love to settle to bring in more money for them. This one is one of them. I regret that I ever contacted them. They were yelling at me that day in court to settle instead of going to the trial. I still remember that day. They used intimidation to scare me and force me to accept what they wanted to do. I am a woman. I should have simply dropped them as my " representatives ". I would not call them lawyers. The defendant only ended up giving me just a few thousand dollars for a case that another law firm would have handled better and given me much more for the pain and suffering that I am still going through with my fracture. One of these people even made fun of me at the end by saying that now I could travel around the world and enjoy myself for many years. There are good law firms out there and bad law firms. Trust your instincts. If they do not treat you with respect from the beginning it means they will get rid of your fast and give you peanuts for your case or you could lose your case altogether. Change lawyers and write a letter to the judge explaining what happened so that they will not put a lien on your case. You have the right to tell the judge what they are doing wrong if they are mistreating you. Some of these people are in the wrong field. I was unfortunately hit by a car and suffered a severe head injury amongst other more minor injuries. NYPD also unfortunately got the details of the police report wrong, leaving me with the impression that the driver had no insurance. One thing you rarely hear about with car accidents is not only do you have to deal with the trauma of the accident, but when it's a hit-and-run or if the driver is not insured, you also have to figure out how to pay for your own medical expenses despite being the victim in the situation. I spent several weeks doing my best to recover while also doing my own research and tons of paperwork to try to get my medical expenses covered through a state-funded program (MVAIC). I called R&R to consult with an attorney on what I should do. Jordan was so helpful and honest with me - there was no money to go after since the driver had no insurance, but I got some useful, honest advice and followed it. I did a ton of detective work despite being physically injured and traumatized and eventually discovered that the driver did actually have insurance and the report had the wrong VIN written down for the car. I was so emotionally and physically drained at this point after having to go to the police station several times in person, with a head injury, to correct the report for various mistakes that were made. However, this news of the VIN being wrong was completely game-changing since there was now coverage for the accident, and from day 1 I could have had an attorney take care of the hard stuff for me instead of spending weeks trying to figure it out on my own. I ended up going back to Jordan with this news in the hopes that he could represent me. It meant a lot that he was so willing to help in the weeks before, even when there was nothing in it for him. A year-and-a-half later, we were able to settle the case. It meant the world that I was able to just be hands-off from the case and let a professional handle it. I was actually able to spend much-needed time recovering and going to mental and physical therapy without having to stress about how I would be able to pay for it.
