The staff and nurses put you at ease and treat you like you are their top priority. Kind, attentive and friendly! We recently had our son there for surgery and the dr will come out or call after the procedure. My one complaint is that the wifi is very poor there and a lot of their communication to families in the waiting room are texts and phone. You dont get good reception, if at all. The dr had tried calling us and got our voice mail and left 2 messages that we had to leave the building to pick up. BUT...the staff called the doctor directly and we were able to speak to him. That meant a great deal to us, knowing that both our doctor and the staff went out of their way for us. Great staff, great care!

I never saw the anesthesiologist before or during the procedure. I was face down on the table as they put the beta dye on and noted it was cold, and then that's all I remember till I woke up. Every other procedure I've had in my life, I've always been visited by the anesthesiologist, told what they were gonna give me, and then given a warning when they're gonna give it to me. I'm waiting for them to call me back on my question about that. I'm more than willing to change this review once they do that. I cannot recommend Dr. Thacker highly enough! It's been less than three months since he repaired…read morethe large full tear coupled with an actual hole in my rotator cuff, damaged labrum, bone spur, and significant arthritis in my shoulder. My physical therapist and all of my friends and family are surprised and impressed with the speed and extent of my recovery. For several weeks I have had close to full range of motion and have completely resumed my normal activities. My pain is minimal at best and usually totally absent. So, why is this the case? In addition to Dr. Thacker's skill as a surgeon, he insisted that I do a specific exercise (from day 1) requiring me to reach my operative arm behind my back. He told me that although physical therapists and most other doctors would indicate that that particular movement should not be done until weeks after surgery, I should follow his directions. And luckily for me, I did just that! Dr. Thacker does not rush to surgery. I had a cortisone shot and over a month of physical therapy before it became clear to me that surgery was my only option (although Dr. Thacker probably realized that early on). However, he listens to his patients and respects their feelings and opinions. He is a kind, friendly, and talented doctor with a great sense of humor. Plus, he does not rush through appointments and will patiently answer questions (which in my case were a lot)! It is true that the pain level during the first week post-op is very high. There is no getting around that. But after that initial period, progress and recovery can proceed rather quickly. Just choose Dr. Thacker as your surgeon!

He performed knee replacement surgery on me that I later found out based on the MRI was not necessary. I never fully recoververed from this unnecessary procedure that was almost 2 years ago. He acted like a replacement is nothing, I'm here to tell you it's a huge surgery. The only thing he cared about was that the hardware was in correctly, he did not care that all the surrounding tissue was not healing and never has. He is walking out the door while you are still asking questions and kept ignoring my pain and lack of healing. I have since seen a few specialists that said not only did I not need the replacement but that this is as good as my knee will ever be. I live with constant pain and lack of mobility. Be cause I no longer have full use of my left knee it has negatively effected my right knee. PLEASE be very cautious when choosing to use DR. Thacker, he seems great on the surface but his ego stops him from having empathy when things don't go well and he will recommend surgery even when not necessary.
