I stopped by to purchase a gift midweek and when the store was empty. There were two employees on the floor that were talking amongst themselves and showed no interest in engaging with customers. Once I spotted what I wanted I politely asked for assistance and was in and out within fifteen minutes. There was no personality or enthusiasm shown for any of their merchandise throughout my experience. I am the type of customer that absorbs the energy in the room. If you are excited and enthusiastic about your merchandise I become excited and enthusiastic about your merchandise...excitement and enthusiasm generates more sales. read more

Let me preface this with this- I feel kind of bad for this Zales, I love Zales jewelry & honestly, the only good thing about this store is a sales associate named Debbie Campbell. In July I went there with my husband & our close friends and we both updated our wedding rings. I had just been through an ordeal with a near fatal car accident & I wanted something to buy myself & treat myself. Debbie was patient & kind, even though we watched previous customer come in & pretty much rattle her - but she never lost her cool with us & spent a good time trying to figure out what we wanted. I ended up getting something from the Disney Enchanted line - it was the Snow White ring & my friend got a wedding ring from the Vera Wang collection. We were super happy with our purchases. I've purchase rings from Zales in Altamonte Springs but I never was given the experience that Debbie gave us - she made my friend & I seriously happy & willing to spend money because she listened. That's right folks, I'm that consumer inclined. You treat me with kindness & respect - listen to what I'm looking for - if you steer me, I will buy. Debbie took the time out & made both my friend & I swear if we ever needed to get our rings checked or purchase new jewelry- we would go directly to the Florida Mall Zales. Fast forward to 3 months November. I was in the shower & notice I was missing a diamond from my ring. No biggie - I have the warranty (again something Debbie sold me on). I called & spoke to someone on the phone named Francesca. I have no idea what circumstances make you hire someone with such a rude tone on the phone, but she was a mess. I excused it & just went anyway hoping to see Debbie. She was busy helping someone else unfortunately I met Francesca in person. Francesca is just as flippant & rude in person. I wasn't sure how the repair process works - so I asked her how long this would take, she laughed & told me "We'll call you & I asked her how would you do that if you don't have my contact info? She then begrudgingly took my contact info. Ok. I asked her about the ring, if this was normal that a diamond would fall out 3 months after purchase - Francesca then proceeds to tell me how her car broke down & that's why she has insurance on it to get it fixed. Cars don't have a lifetime guarantee & that's why you (she pointed at me) purchased the warranty. She also added that warranties don't always mean anything because even now her car is still not fixed. Sooooo...I purchased this ring in July with insurance , a diamond falls out, & how does a broken car relate to this scenario? Excuse me? Is that how you represent Zales? She had no idea how to put a fix into the computer for my ring. It took her several minutes to figure out how to code this. The whole time she looked & acted both vocally & body language wise that I was wasting her time. She ended up having to get her manager to help her while groaning & slamming on the computer. I stood there patiently watching her frustration. This ring, or broken car, as Francesca put it ever so eloquently, meant a lot to me. That's why people buy jewelry from a mall because they mean a milestone or a mark in their life. I did not want to leave my ring with her because she made it even worse because she didn't show me she placed the ring in a bag, almost didn't give me a receipt & when she did finally - she realized how agitated I was for watching all of this for 30 min. I asked her if Zales was going to call me & she said they might or might not(what jewelry store does not call you when repairs are done?), but I should just show up on the 28th. She mumbled a half hearted apology again & I grabbed my receipt & walked out. If someone named Francesca offers you help just pass. Go to Debbie Campbell - Moving forward I'll go there to buy jewelry from her. I'll get it fixed at another Zales. read more

Store is always close, even tho says open hours online. Drove 35 minutes because all the stores in the area are permanently close and this is the closest one, for them to tell me that I have to call before showing up at the store what!? Is by appointment now?. read more

I would give these rude incompetent people -5 stars if I could! I am so heated right now! I bought a ring from here back in August. It hasn't been worn yet and I still have the receipt. I called tonight and spoke to Trinita (or something similar) and she told me that with a receipt it could be returned within 90 days. So I got ready and drove there right away. I got in and there were two ladies and a little man named Rick. Rick told me that the policy was 60 days. I informed him that I spoke with a lady not 40 minutes prior who said it was 90 days. So he said hat he would need a code to do that return because the manager left. He leaves and calls someone and then comes back with this horrible attitude telling me he can't do anything and that Trinita actually told me it was 60 days and that I was wrong. He was calling me a liar right to my face. I know what I heard, I would never have left my house and drove to the Florida mall if it was 60 days, I even counted the days and I was at 87 so it was urgent. He continuously said that I could come back and talk to a manager but it's 60 days and I was wrong. read more

The staff at this location was very helpful. I went in for a repair and they instantly took all of my information, warranty documents, and got me all set up. They gave me a tracking number via email so that I can track the repair and my ring was fixed within two days. Only reason why I knocked it down one star was because I insisted on getting help for a band to fit within the other ring as I did not have one. The original ring is silver and the employee said she couldn't help me because it was silver. She said in the future not to buy silver that there's no point of purchasing that kind of jewelry. It made me feel a little bit awkward as it's not her choice as to which kind of ring I chose to purchase. Therefore, she lost my sale on a potential ring/band from this store. I will definitely be back if it is in regards to repairs but not for any purchases in the future. read more

Bought a gift online on 12/15 to ship. It is now the 22nd and have not received any notification or tracking. Shipping status on their website shows nothing. I keep getting emails that I have an unpaid purchase in my shopping bag. I have the receipt for the purchase and when clipping on the shopping bag icon it shows zero in there. Finally got someone on the phone today and was told it is shipping today. I'll have to just wait and see. Bought something from best buy the other day and received it the next day. Been to multiple zales this one was the worst ever. Wait time just to pick up a ring that was resized over 50 min. Only 2 people working on a Saturday at 8 pm no multitasking capabilities. Both are discussing with one customer trying to up-sell them on a piece of jewelry and downgrade their current jewelry. Going to make sure i get names and speak to their corporate office about this. This is absolutely unacceptable. In my time here roughly 8 people walked in looked for assistance and was not even acknowledged. Absolutely awful customer service. They had 2 people working at 5pm on a Saturday with a store full of customers. After waiting for 20 min Irena told my wife and I that she would help us next. After finishing up with her customer she proceeded to help another one completely ignoring us. I asked her to help us like she said she would. She rolled her eyes at us and said I'll help whoever I want. What kind of customer service is that? What an awful person. We will never come back to this Zales ever again. Went in to have a ring sized today and sales associate said it would be ready 3/6. I commented, "Wow, almost a month!". She replied, "No, it's almost March." Today is Feb 16th. She says, "Yes, that's a week and a half away. That's how long it takes." She pulls out the calendar to show me and I show her a week and a half is Feb 27th and she still proceeds to argue that 1 1/2 weeks is March 6th. She states that she can put on the order to rush it but it's not like a bridal set or anything. What does that even mean? If you aren't spending thousands of dollars on a bridal set, your business isn't appreciated? Obviously, you can't fix stupid and as I am now not comfortable with leaving my ring with her I ask for the ring back to take it somewhere else. So on top of stupid she is now talking to me in a very patronizing tone. I complained to assistant manager and she used the same tone. My girlfriend and I cane to this store to get my watch battery replaced. We walked in and asked them if they would replace my battery for me the lady that we asked said i can not but said she would ask someone. I then heard her tell one of the girls "I dont want to change it do you and she said No i dont get paid for that ****. We were shocked and disgusted with the lack of service. I came here a few days ago and it was just ok. They had a great selection of engagement rings but nothing that I could say I loved. One of the sales associates kept pushing me to try more and more rings on. She even got annoyed and rolled her eyes at me when I found something I didn't like about a ring. I'd give Zales in the Florida Mall less stars if it was possible. They don't follow through on their promises, they don't educate their customers with honesty and integrity on their policies and procedures and their maintenance/repair jeweler is terrible! He does horrible work, loses stones and make shift things together, hoping you won't notice. The mgr Joan is completely unprofessional. She doesn't call when she says she will and seems to never be in the store. I've had to call numerous times to see what the status of things were, when she told me she was going keep me informed of what was going on...and hasn't. Now I've had to file a complaint with corporate because each time they've gone to "fix" the jewelry they messed up, the jeweler ruins the piece more. I went to an independent jeweler who has found FOUR issues with the item caused by Zales' jeweler thus far. Corporate seemed to care and said the district mgr will resolve this; however, I've read on other consumer affairs pages where people were told this and things were still not resolved. Fingers crossed I have better luck. DO NOT EVER SEND YOUR STUFF THROUGH ZALES TO GET RE-SIZED, FIXED, ETC. They will mess it up and you will be left in misery! read more
