My father was sent to Select Specialty Hospital in Gulfport for "rehab." They did NOTHING until we complained about the lack of therapy he was receiving. He laid in bed every day and was sat up for maybe 5 minutes to change his sheets. He developed pnemonia after being there 3 weeks and they decided to move him to another facility. They did not want to help at all. If you care about your loved one, don't send them to this place.

I never did see the psychologist, but Judith Olson, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner was wonderful…read moreand helpful. I did have problems with the office staff and scheduling. I usually waited at least 30 minutes for each appointment in the waiting room. Once after the 30 minute wait I was escorted to the next building to wait another 30 minutes before I went back to the front office and told them I had to leave. That is when the office "discovered" that Ms Olson was not scheduled in for that day. Another time when I was running late for a referral appointment, I called to ask if my records had been sent to the new clinic. When the receptionist seemed to not understand, I repeated my birthdate and name rather urgently that it was a referral from Ms. Olson, and when the receptionist was again puzzled, I said " Oh, you cannot help me", and hung up to drive to my new appointment. As I was driving I received a call from the office manager saying that I was profane to the receptionist and later she sent me a curt letter saying I was "combative and using profanity" and they were closing my file. This was all totally untrue and I had to go to the extra trouble to write a letter to the company. The whole episode cause me a great deal of stress. The staff is obviously causing unnecessary angst to patients and I'm sure jeopardizing their recovery. I would not recommend using this clinic.

She needs to be retrained and to not treat patients like liars. I do not feel comfortable coming back here which is a shame because I liked Dr. Willbrant. She might just deny this review as me being a Karen but it is true how she treated me and she does not need to be treating patients like this.
