Really good food, nice but not effusive waitstaff, clean outdoor seating in a busy area for people-watching. A very good choice. 4.5 stars!
On our first evening in Brussels we ventured first to drink some beer. The food at the beer joint was limited so by the time we moseyed on over here, we were pretty tipsy and definitely hungry. Which is surely why I ordered almost everything vegetarian they had on the menu. I love this style of sharing food!
The list: stuffed grape leaves, fried cauliflower, babaganouj, falafel, mujadra...omg, everything was so delicious. Our meat-eating friend ordered her own meaty plate, cannot say much about that (I try not to look) but she seemed to enjoy it. The meal came with a huge amount of pita bread, which is great. The prices were reasonable and the portions were large.
Of course, we were unable to eat everything so we asked them to pack us up a few containers to go, which they did skillfully. Believe it or not, we made a great lunch for three out of the leftovers the next day.
A place definitely worth checking out. read more
