We had a horrific experience with another contractor and Rob carefully and thoughtfully assessed how to correct what had been done. Additionally, they rescued our almost 2 year old terrified German Shepherd when she became trapped under our deck. (The previous contractor was supposed to close up the end, but he had never finished it, like everything else.) It was cold, with temperatures dropping, when I located our girl wedged under the middle of the large deck, she was going into shock, there was no one to help and I was not able to get her to back up. I called Countryman Home Improvements 5 minutes before they closed. The owner, Rob, brought one of his crew who has military dog training experience to help with the extraction. After rapidly assessing the situation, we realized the screws were very difficult to almost impossible to remove quickly and time was of the essence. It was decided that they needed to cut a 2' x 2' hole in the deck between the joists. They were mindful of the fact she was very cold and becoming shocky, plus her head was inches from where they had to cut with a circular saw, so they took extra precautions. The decking was removed and she was helped out of the predicament she had gotten herself into. After a warm bath and a long rest wrapped in a warm blanket she was back to her old energetic self! We cannot even express how GRATEFUL we are for Rob Countryman and his caring, professional crew! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
