It's a little oasis in a busy city that's worth a visit (if you're a lady, no dudes). Now - here's some things you need to know: *They provide disposable bottoms but you can bring a bikini if you want. Pretty much all the ladies had them so you probably want to bring one too. The disposable bottoms don't cover much. *Be prepared to be horrified by how much dead skin you're in possession of. They're going up get all of it. *This appears to be a popular spot for ladies to come together so I was probably one of the only solos - a little awkward. *I did the Prestige package and it was WORTH IT. *They give you a comb & have hair dryers do you can make yourself presentable after. *Everyone is seriously the nicest. I would go back, like every week if I could.

Honestly, Paris airport isn't the most inviting place, so I wanted to take a moment to relax here before facing the airport's frenzy. The spa is pretty exclusive, and I felt completely safe with the staff. While there might be some binary individuals, the environment is designed to make everyone feel at ease. You can enjoy your privacy, and the massage and other services are incredibly comforting when you need some time alone. My French isn't perfect, but I managed well, and they were very accommodating.

Skin caked with pollution and calcaire? No Problem!!!…read more The helpful ladies here will gommage and grate until you see spots! When they're done, you'll be amazed at all the delicious dead skin fractal flowers left on the massage table. I really love unwinding at this place and it remains a haven for me for the long months of Parisian cold. The only thing this place need is a "STFU" sign in the hammam when the poulettes decide to get clucky.

I went in with a Canadian friend of mine on Saturdays (the only day when its mixed; this is a women only hammam) We first started by enjoying the steam room and alternating with the cold pool and about an hour later we were called for our exfoliation body turn. I must say as I'm writing, my back is still smooth. I laid down on the table and the lady scrubbed my whole body with a glove to the point you could see the dead skin all over the table. You think you took a shower this morning? think again. I felt like I lost a few pound of dirt in the process. We then had our mud care that last for about half an hour, and then went to the relaxing room and waited for our massage. a 20 minutes massage with essential oil that could have lasted longer. Next time for sure I upgrade for an hour! my friend and I got out of there with a brand new skin and more energy! I felt like I lost the weight on my shoulder. Doing it once a month with be a treat! Going back for sure or try them all !

As my 30th birthday approached I brainstormed how I would most like to spend my day. I decided to…read moreput my limited birthday budget towards a spa treatment and a few hours at the spa. Having read good reviews of L'Echapee I made an appointment for a Calfornian Massage. I arrived the day of the appointment not knowing what to expect but having experienced spas throughout the States and Europe. I consider myself very fortunate to have visited a couple dozen spas of all types around the world. I was immediately disappointed with the quality. The inside felt dingy and the locker room smelled moldy. I was given a locker with a rusty padlock. Instead of the usual large and bright showers with a variety of Spa beauty products, the showers were dingy and dark and reminded me of bathing at the YMCA. The restroom was no better with a sink that looked like it would be at home in a 1980s elementary school. There was not a single complementary beauty product to be found. I suppose everyone receiving treatments comes prepared with their own toiletries. The dirty facilities were not the part that ruined my experience though. The locker room was extremely warm- I would guess at least 85 degrees. When I left and entered the lounge it was even warmer. They have a sauna and hot tub but they were not the least bit appealing as there would be no where to cool down after. Yes, you could drink from the water cooler out of disposable cups but they did not provide cold towels as is common. After about 15 minutes waiting for my appointment I became very dizzy and sick from the heat. By the time my massage therapist came out I was nauseated and had developed a headache. She took me to the treatment room which was even warmer and I asked for a cooler room. She said none was available and I explained that I would have to leave. I spoke with the manager and he said that they could not refund my money, despite their facilities making me ill. I left in tears as I had planned for weeks on spending my birthday here and wasted the morning, our money and felt extremely sick. My husband returned to discuss the situation further and they refused a refund. We then wrote a long email explaining our situation further and was refused. In light of their response I thought it might be best to post my experience online to help others avoid the same disappointment. Living in Paris for the last six months, I am used to things often not being what I expect. I also understand that French customer service is much different from the States. That said, my experience was bad enough that cultural differences cannot be to blame.

I'm a big fan of Caudalie, and when I went to the numerous pharmacies in Paris, I quickly realized…read morethat the prices in France are much cheaper than in New York. So early on in my trip, I knew I wanted to stock up on Caudalie items. I decided to get all I need from an actual Caudalie store rather than a pharmacy because I would get points buying straight from Caudalie and it would be easier for me to get VAT refund by buying everything in one place since the overall prices will even out (some items are cheaper in certain pharmacies than the actual Caudalie stores). When I got to the Saint Germain store, I waited a little while because I was told I had to wait for the technician. I figured it's because the technician spoke the most English. It wasn't a big deal to wait and gave me time to do some last minute price checks. When the technician finally came, I basically told her I have a list of items to get. She was super surprised of how organized I was. I had each of the item's name, the US price, the Euro price, and any special offer combos. She was also surprised at the price difference. For example, a bottle of the make up removal oil was around $22USD, it was just 12 Euros at the store. The technician helped me pick out everything on my list and made some recommendations of what I need for my routine. In all, I left with a little over $240 and she threw in handfuls of samples from shower gels to eye creams. She also helped fill out my VAT refund forms. The only bad thing I would say is that I get different advice as far as what I need from various staff. The inconsistency makes it hard to buy the "right" product because I never really know what the right products are! But other than that, I love the Caudalie products and this shopping experience was top notch awesome!
