We visited in October and it was so nice to see an ice cream place still open in the fall that was not Dairy Queen :) we got a strawberry cheesecake flurry and it was delicious. It was big enough for us to split and the price was fair. I also enjoy the beautiful spot to eat outside. It was windy but still a warm enough and sunny enough day to enjoy outside on my little date with my husband. It also seemed very clean there too ! read more

Every town should have a cute, little ice cream shack. I was just sitting at the stoplight and I saw Yup's across the street. I knew I had to stop. And they had enough space for me to pull in with my little trailer. I wouldn't recommend pulling in with anything much bigger, but it fit me just fine. I walked up and received a friendly greeting. I got mint chocolate chip. It's really good. And the medium is huge. I am really glad I stopped here. read more

The best ice cream ever! It's a drive inn and is always busy but the service is fast and kind.

Great ice cream..good service..busy place highly recommend for Sunday treat. The wait is worth it.

Friendly staff and close to the I-80. I had the ham club. I also had a Boston cream ( Ginger ale and ice cream float). Both were yummy. The family had cheese burgers. Also the watermelon slushy. Both were enjoyed. We all enjoyed the meal. If we are passing through we will stop again. read more

Stopped in for lunch after picking our RV up from service in Middlebury. Wife & I both had the double bacon cheeseburgers which were huge and reasonably priced. Meat seemed to be more steamed then fried but they were great, until several hours later and whatever seasonings they use kept re-visiting us even 7 hours later. They were consistently busy, we would return again! read more

Best Ice Cream around! They also have a big selection of your favorite frozen dessert!!

It's the best place in town for ice cream that's been around for decades. Cash only. The long lines, especially on a summer day, are worth the wait. Try a topsy turvey (add nuts and whipped cream) and ummmmmm your way to the bottom of the cup. read more

Yup's Dairyland - customers entering the restaurant - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Middlebury, Indiana

The service was really fast and the employees were very nice. The sizes were good. We had hot fudge and strawberry sundaes, and I can't tell which was better! Delicious! read more

If you are anywhere near Middlebury, you have simply got to go to Yup's for ice cream! I don't know how anybody could give this place a bad review. It is a local institution. They have both hard ice cream (Hudsonville, I believe) and frozen custard. I always go for the custard with chocolate or strawberry topping. A small serving is plenty for me. They are located at a busy intersection with a lot of truck and trailer traffic, so use care when you access or leave the parking lot, and the place is usually busy. I can't really comment on the food because I only go there for ice cream, but I will go out of my way for that. read more

I love chocolate malts from small local ice cream stands during the summer months. With that being said, unfortunately Yup's rendition of a chocolate was no better than a chocolate shake from McDonald's or the Wendy's frosty. Not only was the syrup not mixed in with the ice cream, it was not malty tasting at all, even though I had asked for extra malt. Very disappointing. read more

Great food, sometimes there's a long line just goes to show how amazing it is! My boyfriend and I love going here and getting ice cream after dinner. read more

Great place and we like their chicken sandwich as well. Ice cream selection is good and highly recommend Yups!

An old favorite of the locals in Middlebury, and for good reason. I'd walk a mile for one of their turtle sundaes! Long lines sometimes, but worth the wait. Portions are generous. read more

There's a reason there are lines here on any nice day! It's a great place for ice cream, and they also have a variety of hot foods, which I haven't tried. 5 stars for the ice cream. read more

Best double bacon cheeseburger in Elkhart County. Boston cooler is also a great treat.

We visited for the first time and wished we had tried their ice cream sooner. We tried their soft serve in vanilla and chocolate, but haven't tried the custard or hand dipped ice cream yet. The ice cream is very good for similar style locations and priced fairly. They have 3-4 picnic tables and some shade for hotter days. We had all the choices for cones and cups or more traditional items like a banana split or dip cones. Parking can get a little dusty on hot days, so keep in mind if you have a clean auto. Otherwise it's a great option for a quick ice cream fix on a warm day. read more

This has been my favorite ice cream shop since I was a child. I drive 25 minutes sometimes get it from my new place.

Reviewing because I couldn't stand the thought of this place only having one star! This has been a Middlebury classic forever! Such a great summer staple of my childhood and always a necessity when I come back to visit. My favorite is their Topsy Turvy which is basically a sundae in a cup. All their ice cream is homemade and pure perfection. Everyone loves this place, can't say one bad word about it! read more

Yups used to be good last year but I went there and I got a strawberry waffle cone and they gave me a vanilla ice cream with strawberry preserve... read more

Always a great place to get ice cream in the summer! I always know I am going to get the same thing every time. Delicious!

Mediocre ice cream selection. Lost two of our six orders, then were downright rude when we pointed out that we hadn't gotten our orders. Go to Lucy's in LaGrange instead. read more

I took my family there tonight and got hamburgers. It was absolutely terrible. I think the "meat" was mostly vegetables or TPV. The ice cream was not the best. I will never buy food there again and will think twice before I get ice cream. read more

My family and i came to yups, we got to the building before close, but as we waited in line they were shutting things down. As the line got shorter more people continued to show to get there ice cream, one of the employees was slamming doors and being very rude to customers. Even with the window closed you coukd still hear her vulgar language and cursing. Visibly upset to do her job as a food server. read more

best Ice cream for the whole family! I love taking my dog there in the summer because they sell pup cups as well! Great selection of flavors and styles of ice cream, reasonably priced as well. read more
