This guy is a con artist. He does not know much about family law. His broken English makes it even harder for him to explain anything regarding the case or the due process of law. He has been representing me for a year now and I am still on supervised visits for no reason at all. I have repeatedly asked for him to file a motion to change the judge for over a year. He says they won't do it, I told him we won't know if he doesn't file. It was his idea to file a motion to remove minors council and never did that either. He constantly ignores my calls and claims he was out of the country. When he does answer he says he is in a hearing and we can confer in couple hours and never calls back. Horrible impression of an Attorney! I have asked him to resign since he is keeping my case at a stand still. I have asked him for a month now and finally yesterday he sa he would send the resignation letter so I can sign in 2 hours. Still nothing! I don't recommend you waste your time or money with this con artist. read more

Horrible Experience Lawyers are supposed to be educated professionals so one would expect a minimum degree of decency and professionalism especially from a lawyer practicing in California. I contacted Mr Kaplunovsky in the month of Jan 2018 regarding representing me in Superior Court of Santa Clara. Initially Mr Kaplunovsky wanted $250/- hr for representing me . However, he decided to represent me when i pointed out my poor Financial condition. Initially all seems well. However, gradually it became difficult to contact Mr Kaplunovsky both over phone and email. Moreover, nobody seemed to be ever present in his office.He did not even bother to respond to phone calls or emails.Mr Kaplunovsky failed to appear at my trial setting date and also failed to serve the notice in a proper manner to the opponent lawyer. Needless to say, he did not carry out the discovery process or the deputation of the opponent party inspite of several requests. My trial is coming on the 20th of September 2018 and i tried to contact Mr Kaplunovsky several times to get feedback about any progress he is making wrt to the discovery process and any other aspect. However, on the 22nd of August 2018, he suddenly informs me over a text message that he cannot represent me during the trial process. Even after that , i send him several emails stating that he should ask for an extension of the trial date as he is the lawyer on record and secondly he should inform me in writing that he is no longer involved in my case so that i might try to hire a different lawyer.Unfortunately, he has not bothered to respond to any of my emails. Such kind of behavior has put me under great stress. I had to be hospitalized in Antelope valley last month and currently undergoing treatment from a Cardiologist. I am going to report this kind of behavior to the state bar and also to the concerned judge. This lawyer claims that he cares about his clients and also to support them both legally and emotionally.NOTHING COULD BE FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH.Also he only has approx. 3 years experience in practicing law in California. He also has several positive reviews on yelp but if you see carefully most of these reviews are from 2-3 years back. I randomly called Yuli at 6 PM on a Friday because I urgently needed a verification of my startup company for a digital certificate, and all other lawyers in the area were either closed for the week or did not provide this type of service. Yuli not only did exactly what I needed, he did it immediately and all via the email, so I didn't even have to go to his office. The price was also very reasonable. Another thing I really like about Yuli is that he is not like the stereotypical lawyer: self-serving and greedy. Every time I'd dealt with lawyers before, I felt like I was being taken advantage of; that everything they did or said was just so that they could charge me more. They can also be difficult to communicate with, because they speak their own specific language and don't understand much else. Yuli is not like that. He comes across as very simple and honest. In addition to his legal background, he also has a degree in math and physics, and he used to work as an engineer. To an engineer like myself, that makes a striking difference. Talking to him felt like talking to a fellow engineer who understands exactly what I'm talking about and who is there to help solve my problem, as opposed to someone whom I have to explain things 5 times, then in the end they just prey on my legal naiveté to slap me a fat bill. I've only worked with Yuli this one time, but based on this experience I would really recommend him, especially to engineers and other technical people. read more

Noticed immediately I'm not the only one complaining about how bad you are at responding to clients! I've been attempting to get this lawyer to send one email response to one of my clients regarding a non-payment and he has refused to follow through with his promises. Since end of january( 2.5 months) this email response has not gone out and now he is not responding to me at all. This is a pattern among his clients and now I am putting him on notice again since he is not doing what he said he would do which is respond to the opposing attorney and I've sent over 40 text messages and called his phone at least 30 times in last couple weeks with no progress or follow through! Hired law firm with help of Jeff who lost his law license due to unethical law practices. Both lawyers failed to meet one deadline or even respond to many many messages after receiving payment. Next step is to file complaint with California state bar association. I know I am not the first client to have this problem with Jeff and Yuli as A former client had many complaints in California against Jeff. This has been the most unresponsive law firm I have ever dealt with. Save your money and hire another law firm. Feel free to contact me if you have had similar issues and we can jointly file complaints with the bar association. I will not stop until I get a refund or the expected result of my case. Yuli is thorough and knows his law, as far as employment laws and immigration laws go; I can say from first hand experience and his stellar legal consultation for me during my recent unfortunate legal nightmare with a job consulting firm for a job contractual lawsuit.
