Principal David Morton greets anyone and everyone who walks through his building with open arms. The structure and administration of this community truly care about the benefit of their students. While I attended here several years ago, I remember taking a required financial class while at the time I thought was nuts, it really does expose you to many different situations that you will be needing to learn at some point or another. The exposure every student gets here is amazing. Another important note is that while I attended here I was not catholic. Not once did I feel pressured to become catholic or judged/viewed any differently for being another religion. Mass is required every Friday once a month here. To me, everything was a learning experience and even though I wasn't catholic I felt religion class helped me learn more about my faith and other religions. Back on academics, just google this school and their scores - it's nothing but successful. I can't wait to send my son here proudly someday and appreciate knowing the fact that he is getting a wonderful education that will help prep him for college and for life long experiences.

We were nervous about putting our kids in school for the first time, but were confident they were in great hands. We love the structured learning curriculum and our kids love their teachers, friends and school! They are our Primrose family, and it was never more evident how much they cared about the kids than during the several months of COVID when many families elected to "stay home". We had zoom calls, online learning lessons, drive by parades and even the teachers & school bus drop off treats at our house. This meant the world to my kids to stay engaged with their friends and school. It was absolutely heartwarming to see the school support and go above and beyond for their kids! Besides educating children for very little money, they host a lot of events that empower students such as math and science night (which btw, was super fun and cool). The school had a run down track and did a fun run to raise funds for a new track, soccer fields, and greenery. Play with the light…read more Solid Light by Anthony McCall was such a fun experience. In a collaboration with the Tate Museum, the Oklahoma Contemporary Art Center has a very unique display. McCall's immersive light sculptures invite you to interact with but not touch the light. So much fun to walk through sculptural beams made of mist and projected light. This sensory experience was truly amazing. It was also a fun challenge to try to capture the images. The 2-D images on film barely scratch the surface of what you will enjoy in the Contemporary Arts Center. Ask questions to learn more. It was so interesting to hear about the installation. The center is just two floors of art. The exhibits change regularly. Parking and entry to the museum are both free. Enjoy the Solid Light.

The first floor was full of student art (from the adjacent studio I believe) and the third floor held a evocative exhibit, Jakian Parks: The Black Land. I wish I had had enough time to explore the grounds and the outside art. The best thing about OCAC is that it is free. (Please feel free to support this place and a $5 donation is encouraged.) I'm anxious to see what exhibits are on view the next time I'm in OKC.
