I hired Lugar Law of Roanoke, VA on May 4, 2020 to represent me in regards to a speeding ticket I…read morereceived in Roanoke County. At first I was pleased with their responsiveness and they quoted me a fee of $150.00 for them to represent me, which was considerably cheaper than other law firms that I had spoken to. I paid the fee and sent them a copy of my insurance verification and a copy of the ticket. At Cerid Lugar's instruction I had my speedometer calibrated and emailed the firm a copy of the results. They in turn sent me an email showing a letter that they sent to a judge, noting that my speedometer was inaccurate. I was content that the matter was being taken care of. On Friday, May 22, I received a call from the admin at Lugar law stating that they had erred, and that they thought the speeding ticket had been issued in Franklin County instead of Roanoke County. I found this to be a bit incredulous given that they had a copy of the speeding ticket and it states clearly in boldface red letters ROANOKE COUNTY POLICE DEPARTMENT. The admin advised that since the offence happened in Roanoke County instead of Franklin county, that the fee would be $700 instead of the $150, which I had already paid. I was shocked to say the least. I had spoken to a few other lawyers in the area and the average fee was $360.00 and if Lugar Law had stated that ballpark figure, I would not have been that dumbfounded but an increase of FIVE HUNDRED and FIFTY DOLLARS??? The admin stated she would talk to Cerid Lugar and see if she would consider a compromise given that I had already paid the fee and the ERROR was due to Lugar Law, but she called me back and stated that Cerid Lugar would not lower the fee. At no point did Cerid Lugar call me to offer any detailed explanation or apology. I FIRED the law firm on the spot and demanded a refund, advising I would seek representation elsewhere. The fact that Lugar Law made such an egregious error and the fact that they were unwilling to acknowledge or accept responsibility for that error speaks volumes to their unprofessionalism. Attorneys are supposed to act in their client's defense and a lot of trust is placed in them. Having that trust violated is a serious betrayal and what Lugar Law did to me felt like a SHAKEDOWN. If you are considering hiring them, I would advise you to FIND SOMEONE ELSE. Who knows how much they might SQUEEZE you for.

The impact left me with a serious brain hemorrhage and additional injuries that kept me in the ICU for three full nights. Through it all we were incredibly grateful to have Stephen Huff handling our personal injury claim. Right from our first conversations he showed real concern for how I was healing, and he always made himself reachable by phone whenever questions arose. In the middle of such a traumatic experience, it meant everything to have an attorney who was both highly capable and truly compassionate. Stephen went the extra mile to obtain a fair settlement for us. Anyone dealing with the aftermath of a car accident would be wise to choose him--he along with Crandall and Katt are a solid 10 out of 10.

I am actually looking for an attorney, but my interactions with this company have NOT been good. I…read moreheard about this company only via Instagram. Two of their attorneys "best friends" (uh, how does that make you a good attorney?) have an IG account that they use for marketing. Their names are Chelesea and Caroline and they are truly ridiculous, trolling for followers on IG. I wasn't aware this was a big market technique of law firms. Oh wait, it's not. They use SHADY AF marketing techniques - they try to follow the private accounts of people in the Roanoke area (or those who follow other Roanoke businesses) to try and up their IG follower count. This is against IG's Terms of Service and it's one of the shadiest things marketers do on social media. This means these attorneys use underhanded means to try and build their clientele - instead of using their brains, WINS and thorough knowledge of the law to gain more clients. I commented on their post (as they clearly want people to engage with their IG). Did they respond professionally? Did they address the shady practices? Nope. They deleted the comment. Just as you'd expect shady lawyers to do - not address their behavior, but just ignore it. Today I got another follow request from them and I'm OVER IT. So I do have direct experience with this law firm and it's entirely negative + shady. Enjoy this review!

Few people change your life at a moment when you need it most--Attorney Steve Baker and the team at…read moreWilliams DeLoatche, P.C. did that for us. They took on a case that every other firm had turned down, with very little to gain, yet they stood unwaveringly for what was right and gave a voice to someone who had none. The care, compassion, and commitment they showed throughout our case far surpassed our family's expectations. I'll admit that before this experience, I didn't fully appreciate the legal profession -- I had the stereotypical "ambulance-chaser" image in mind. But my perspective has completely changed. Good attorneys bring accountability, protect people, and help prevent future harm, and this team embodied all of that. They handled our case with such genuine care that, by the end, it felt like they were part of our family. Their focus was always on honoring our wishes, respecting our privacy, and seeking justice. God bless all who dedicate themselves to protecting the innocent and preventing future harm.
