You know when you see an old man on the bus and you can tell that his years haven't treated him well. This pub is very much like that. It really does have something special about it hidden under the sticky carpets and grimy mirrored walls, that I think is personality.
I came in here for a pint last night as I'd walked past and the draw of an open fire was just too much to handle. Actually I was a little too scared to go it as there is always a gang of locals loitering outside. Anyways, I got up the guts and we headed in, sat by the fire and spend 2 hours chatting and chilling in an almost deserted pub. There wasn't just one roaring fire either, there was two!
This is now set to be my new winter local, nothing special about the drinks or the staff just an awesome atmosphere. The one thing that gets me nervous is the number of TV screens that are i there. On a match day it will be heaving with footie supporters. read more
