Diane is a delightful shopkeeper who helps you find the perfect shoe. These shoes are a work of art. Added to the inventory, is a line of shoes with custom designs painted by artist Sauver Carlus. I recommend this shop to any woman that wants an extraordinary pair of shoes that will make her feel like she stepped out of a painting from the Belle Époque. I'll be back next year for another pair. The sales assistant states that clothes from this basket cannot be tried on first. Pourqoi?? There was no sign in the shop stating that this is the case. I believe the sales assistant just made up the rule on the spot because she took a disliking to us, for whatever twisted reason she had. How on earth can you buy clothes without seeing if they fit first? Had they fitted, my daughter would have bought these items plus a scarf. This is bad customer service, poor sales technique and no way to run a business. Very very poor and I wouldn't recommend this shop to anyone BTW This shop is not vintage, it sells new clothes

Galeries Lafayette Paris is absolutely breathtaking!…read more The gorgeous glass dome and ceilings are a showstopper all by themselves. Almost every designer you can think of is here, making this a must-see and a must-shop when visiting Paris. And it doesn't stop inside Galeries Lafayette--the entire surrounding area has stores for days! Lights, glitz, glamour, luxury, and fashion everywhere you turn. It reminded me of an upscale New York City 42nd Street, but with that beautiful Parisian elegance. Even if you're not planning to shop, go for the experience. There's so much to see, you could spend hours just walking around and taking it all in. Definitely one of my Paris must-visits!

While malls die all over America, retail still thrives in Paris. Exhibit A: Galeries Lafayette Haussmann. I've been to this department store a number of times over the years, and I both enjoy it and fear how completely it can suck up precious vacation hours. It's a fantastic place to shop, with a ton of well curated inventory spread out across multiple floors in multiple buildings. The main building features that beautiful domed ceiling, which manages to catch me by surprise every time I walk in. I haven't had the opportunity to shop for my own clothes here in a long time, but I've gotten some really great stuff on the children's floor, and discovered the souvenir section on my last visit, where I picked up some cool Paris Metro toy trains and magnets. We did somehow get stuck at Galeries Lafayette for over two hours and ended up skipping Notre-Dame, which might have been a better place to spend our last afternoon in Paris. But it was sale season, and my kids look super cute in their heavily discounted Petit Bateau. Galeries Lafayette is busy and sometimes overwhelming, but it's a wonderful department store. I wish we had something like it back home. I'd much rather shop there than fall for targeted ads on Instagram.

It was my last day in Paris I was shopping for a few hours and then the shops were begining to close. I saw my dream of finding fab finds in Paris slip away. On my way home I ended up STUMBLING! on to this fab find!!!! Literarlly saw the open sign from the corner of my eye- made a sharp right and TADA!!!!!! angeles singing harps playing gates opening! my night turned around in .o2 seconds!!!! i got 3 paris of flats, 2 boots and a jacket! I don't remember spending over 120-150 euros!!!! FABBB FINDSSS GELORE!!!!!! I get compliments on my purchases form here alll the time! at the bank, at the grocery store, by my friends, fellow public transit riders the list goes on and on. the top floor is shoes and the bottom is cloths! its a tiny cluttered store but everything there is gorg!!!! dig a little, find our own shoes size box etc.... totally worth it! A year later I am making my way back to Paris and have spent the last hours looking for this place online to make sure I make a visit when I get there! I did not want to risk wandering around in the neighborhood looking for this place! Very small boutique located in Montmartre on the voyage up to Sacré Cœur!…read more My cousin needed a pair of comfortable shoes after she made the mistake of wearing flats so she ran inside the store after seeing a sign outside with all of the brands they sell (adidas, Nike, puma, asics to name a few). The employee was very sweet and although he did not speak too much English he was very helpful and was able to give my cousin the proper shoe size (with the help of their French translator--moi!) The prices are VERY expensive. For a pair of Nikes, my cousin spent 140€ and that is the average price for their other shoes. I would not immediately recommend coming here unless you are looking to pay a little more for shoes that you could easily buy elsewhere. But, considering how badly she needed it and how close it was to the sacré coeur, this was the easiest option for her.

Went back today (hoping to find another pair of cheap sneakers). No sneakers for me, but there were…read morelots of cute leather and suede boots for 20€ and 30€. And cute ones, too. I walked around the store for five minutes in the left foot of a pair of tan, flat (yay!), suede boots with a zip (essential for wearing with jeans) and cute little fasteners in the back. They were only 30€, but I couldn't figure out if I was buying them because I liked them, or because that's such a good deal for suede boots. Sooo after I requested the right boot to take to the cash register, I decided I was too tired to make a decision and I just left. Don't know if I should run back there in a panic or not. I enjoyed this place a lot more than the last time. There seemed to be much better prices. I like that the store is arranged by size.

My French is VERY limited, although I can understand an ok amount since I'm familiar with other romance languages. This sucks when you can understand what they're saying, but can't respond in kind. None of the employees spoke English but they were nice and brought out other pairs of boots for me to look at. I found a pair that I liked at a great price, maybe €25. If I find myself in that part of Paris again, I'd stop by again to look for more deals.
