We knew it was a popular bar so we went Friday evening, when it had just opened. As there were not many people, we got space at the bar near a window overlooking the street. Stunning views outside as night fell. I personally love to sit at the bar because you have front row seats to see all the action while they prepare the drinks. The mixologists were friendly, they recommended drinks according to our tastes and preferences, I must say they were pretty accurate. We had such a good time that I forgot to take pictures of the cocktails. Definitely a place I recommend for a chill night if you are in the city.

They do have their own entrance from the street or you can go through Hotel 27's lounge area. Not until we spoke to Nicholas at Ruby, who recommended this (amongst some other hospitality pros that we talked to). It explains why the lounge was happening even on week nights at the hotel. They focus on using Scandinavian ingredients in their drinks, a very New Nordic Cuisine approach to beverages. Sometimes the best things are right under your nose!

I thoroughly enjoyed our conversation. The setup of her bar reminded me of being at a friend's house due to the arrangement and decor of the bar. The olives I nibbled on were amazingly good. I think they were Manzanilla olives if I'm not mistaken. The cocktail I imbibed in was the espresso martini, which was strong & had a twist to it with the bourbon additive.
