Amager, we love you even more…read more Never would we have thought that a craft beer place would come to this part of the town, but it does and we're happy for it. The place used to house a shabby old bodega, but this bar has totally renovated the place and it looks so cosy (albeit dark). The tap list (24 taps?) was excellent last time I was there. I got to try the Marshmallow Porter from Tiny Rebels, Mango Hallonfeber from Brewski and the delicious (and spicy) Thai Speedway Stout from Alesmith. The price might be a little bit higher than those places downtown, but since we can walk to this place, instead of going "all-the-way" to the centrum, we're happy with it. Skål for more beers in the future. May you stay and prosper, Hop House!

The restaurant is basically to the side of the reception area. The options were fairly limited in terms of entrees. We ordered two appetizers and decided to split an entree. The beet root tartae was tasty especially if you like beets. The other appetizer was the tuna but it was very small. Literally 2-3 bites and done. The entree we ordered was the cannoli. The sauce was a little too heavy but the noodles was nice and chewy. The bread was the best part of our meal. Price was little steep for the portion size, but would recommend future guests to eat here for a night snack vs a meal.

The food was possibly slightly above expectations, but nothing special. The price was relatively expensive and the menu small. I had the pumpkin soup and club sandwich (95 and 155 DKK respectively). Both were tasty, but after waiting a fair while, it may have just been because I was really hungry. Service was okay, nothing special. I would return but not in a hurry.

That neighbourhood bar that is super cosy and actually serves good drinks with a great price (at least their cocktails aren't as pricey as downtown Copenhagen bar). They have cocktails for 80kr, beer for less than that, they have the usual Tuborg on tap, but they do have Mikkeller beer on the bottles and some selection of wine. They're not a craft beer bar, so you can't expect them to have a wide range of craft beer, but good enough for a place that isn't a bodega. Inside is smoke-free and nice and they even have a jukebox, so get your coins ready.
