I've been going to this CIBC branch practically since it opened. The front entrance has two ATMs…read more(one which distributes American and Canadian funds). On most of my visits, they have been fully functional and today's visit was no exception. Today however, I was served by an actual teller. She was friendly and efficient (as almost all the tellers at this location). Towards the conclusion of my business, she enquired if I needed an appointment to make any RRSP contributions. Just a friendly reminder though. She wasn't pushy at all which I appreciated. The parking lot is a bit of a nightmare with all the twists and turns. It makes for backing out of spots a bit of a challenge. The main reason I attend this bank is it is close to my home and along my route to and from work. It is not a main branch but does offer most (if not all) services that the full size branch does. This CIBC has everything I've needed so and hasn't failed me yet.

Thumbs down to the BMO who have refused to acknowledge my mother's POA document that shameful…read morelawyer Eric Dube (who allowed a change to be made to my mother's POA in December 2023 without doing his due diligence) gave me when he fired my mother stating "conflict of interest" lol, when I asked him to change the document back. At the age of 83, she could barely put sentences together. All he had to do was ask her, what her birthdate was and her kids names. She couldn't have answered The original POA document was in place for 13 years. NOW, my mother has Alzheimer's, only seven months later, (hmmm even her doctor says she would have been beyond capacity of signing documents in December). So now, my mother is in a LTC facility with Alzheimer's, this respected LTC Director her whole career, having had to give up her home and when I bring in a fourth request, yes fourth for void checks for her rent and nursing home trust fund (she now owed over $6000 for two months rent), and a cable bill for @$300, the BMO refuses to acknowledge the POA document then when I say they're in my car I'll get them, even though I have already given them copies of her original and amended POA documents, which I do, they tell me they won't acknowledge her POA documents nor her cable bill. So all I can say is if you have senior parents or are a senior, this bank has no problem taking advantage. My mother has a sizable savings and shouldn't have to live her life like a pauper. They'll now only give her what is deemed necessary. What a horrible way to have to end your life. I have always been my mother's right hand man and best friend. I can't believe this is how people treat the elderly.
