I have been with state farm for 20 years. Over the last two years my rates have went through the roof. I added my son to my policy and from the quote to the actual rate they were about 30$ a month off and my first payment was more. Recently my rates jumped by a couple hundred dollars a month and I had to change my deductible, add drive safe and save, and a few other things and should have been able to get my rates back to a reasonable area however following Tom's suggestions and his new quote he was way off. My son's insurance was quoted at $299 a month and now a month later we are at $600 a month with no explanation as to the difference. I can understand a variance of 5%-10% from a quoted price to an actual price but to double the rate with no explanation is unreasonable. A real bait and switch. I would think they would want to resolve this considering I have been with state farm for 20+ years however there is just no ambition to do so on their part. Steer clear and find a different agent at least. read more

While the office staff for Tom Post in the past has been uniformly and extraordinarily helpful, there has apparently been a change in personnel. Today I called and spoke to someone called Valerie. She was cold, abrupt and distinctly unfriendly. When I asked to speak to someone else, she said there was no one to speak to but her. I am changing to another State Farm office. Life is too short and insurance agents too endemic to put up with unnecessary snippy office personnel who are supposed to be customer-centric. read more
