Ace was our first place to stop thinking that it would have the best chance at a perfect replacement and good service to help him find the specific bolt quickly. Wow, were we wrong. I didn't even go in but my husband came out pissed!! Honestly that is not typical for him at all. He said the guy he asked for help just waved down there and apparently didn't have the time or care to help him locate the bolt he needed. If that wasn't bad enough when he found it himself and came up to the register to get checked out apparently he told my husband "Go down there!" Pointing to another girl and when she didn't know the price the guys said to my husband "Well! What was the price??" That was it my husband was so pissed that he just left. He couldn't believe how rude and useless this guy was and told him "thanks for all of your great customer service!!" We left and took our business to Central Tractor where they had people happy to help. My husband said he will never step foot in Ace Hardware again. I sure hope this useless guy wasn't the owner.

The buildings are unheated So wear a jacket in the winter. Don't wear good shoes like I did, I wore brand new sneakers today and was walking through mud and stagnant water throughout the grounds. If you find something on a third floor, for example, you have to look around for employee who is going to give you a price right off the top of their head. They do haggle but it's almost as if they don't want to unload anything. Add that we chose something, I had to walk all over the place looking for the guy to pay. He just put the cash in his pocket. I guess maybe he's a manager I don't know. I'm not sure my pictures do it justice. Many of the items are broken or chipped. They do have a lot of restaurant type equipment, but as I said very little in the entire set up has any kind of pricing on it. So you could be on the fourth floor, find something, have to find someone to find a price for it, go to another floor all the way in the back find someone to give you a price, it's like that all over the place. They have several trucks to sort through and they just leave it there. A lot of old outdated hotel furniture too. One tiny room had a lot of books in it and I was thinking it be fun to pick up a couple, and that would be a great room for them to just put a price sticker on the wall. Hard covers this much paperbacks this much. Seriously it's a total mess.

If they did not have the experience or ability to properly complete the job, they should have been honest about that before accepting the job and our money. Instead, we were left dealing with the consequences. One of the most unacceptable issues was our ridge vent, which was left unfinished and exposed for approximately a year without shingles covering it. We paid for a top-of-the-line new roof, and now that roof is LEAKING!!! After discovering the leak, we contacted them expecting him correct the problem. They never came back. No resolution.
